What do you prefer? An LCD screen or a CRT screen ?

the one who should answer is Dr.scoo, he has a 19" LCD widescreen (i have 15.4" on my laptop, but i'm not happy while gaming on it)

ok but from what i've seen @ scoo's PC (with 8800GT ) when u play on a widescreen, with correct resolution, u feel like u'r seeing more, for example, in pes2008, u see more of the pitch. in call of duty 4, u see more what's next to you.
in crysis, u get more of everything in company of heroes, u control the map better.
i'm not talking crap, but i think that instead of buying an xbox360 just to play one game, go pay 300$ for a very decent LCD!!!!!

And 350$ for a VGA!

Dude bass in most games, when AA and anisotropic filtering arent on, ull definitvly see the difference between the two, remember im taking the subject from a gamers perspective. Of course LCD's are more practical when performing any other task, yet they dont match the CRT's in terms of quality and performance when gaming.

the best thing abt it, u go in the game option, u on't think what u should put on low, everything on the highest .


and widescreen BIG one is gr8 for gaming,it is made for gaming.

The no1 gaming screen in 2006 was a viewsonic 19" wide with 1.2ms refresh rate so now we are in 2008 DO THE MATH BABY!!!!!! and dont say that you are comparing your laptop display when it comes to gaming people will laugh because unless you have an alienware laptop or an xps you cant (TED7aCH your laptop in the competition)

Im talking about the jaggys an lcd displays, AA aims to remove jaggys from polygonal objects, when its turned off jaggys will appear, even more so on lcd screens.

I claim to talk from a gamer with no money's perspective . Decent VGA's dont offer high AA, 2x max and still most of the time its not feasible to put on 2x. U need high end VGA's to crank it up.

Ok 1st "Decent" doesnt equal high-end, its more like mid-range. 200$ vga are decent, vga's like (in lebanon) 8500gt, 8600gt, 7600, 6800. Anything above 8600gt is high-end, 8800gt, 8800gts, 8800gtx are high-end vgas. And all of those cost upwards of 350$ here.
