He allegedly forced a South Park episode that satires Scientology to be pulled off the air

Dubbed "Closetgate" by the Los Angeles Times, the controversy continued as Comedy Central, the channel that broadcasts South Park in the U.S., pulled the "Trapped in the Closet" episode at the last minute from a scheduled repeat on March 15, 2006. It was alleged that Cruise threatened Paramount with withdrawal from promotion of his latest film Mission: Impossible III if the episode was broadcast. Viacom owns both Paramount and Comedy Central. Paramount and Cruise's representatives denied any threats. The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, claimed in a typically satirical response to be "servants of Xenu" and declared that the "million-year war for Earth" had only just begun. The Los Angeles Times reported that, "For Stone and Parker, Closetgate will be the gift that keeps on giving."[51]

What a shocker, dating a billionaire will get you on a 'Richest Celebrity' list. Actress Salma Hayek and her billionaire fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault were named "Hollywood's Richest Couple" by InTouch magazine.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pinault, he basically owns Rodeo Drive...or at least 80% of the designers that have shops set up there. Pinault is reportedly worth over $14 billion dollars!!


Everyone's jumping on the UNICEF bandwagon these days. Next up? Salma Hayak, who's the new spokeswoman for the "One Pack One Vaccine" program, which will provide tetanus shots for needy mothers and their infants in the United States and Canada.

For every pack of Pampers diapers sold between April 1 and June 30, the company will donate funding to UNICEF for one maternal or neonatal tetanus vaccine.

The Pampers-UNICEF partnership has already provided more than 25 million vaccines to moms and babies in Western Europe.

It's actually nice to see how much the stars change when they have babies. Salma's daughter Valentina Paloma was born last September.
