LOL , nice analyse .
lei asslan do u think that Geagea knows what fideralism is ?? he asked for it just because he was dreaming of dominating the christian area and ruling it,of course because ruling Lebanon is an impossible dream for a person hated by 90% of the population ... so he said maybe i can dominate the christian area by force, and he used the idea about "fideralism" as a cover for his ambition .

back to the subject,Lebanon is too small to be divided, there is no logical reason to switch our regime to a fideral one.The multiplicity of religions in Lebanon is not a cause !!
the Lebanese people can be united whatever was their religions,we just need patriotic and secular leaders who doesent have this sick mentality about " Oh he's a muslim !" ..or "Oh he's christian !".
the Lebanese people (muslims, druzes, christians, jews etc..) are One people and can live in peace and unity... we just need to get rid of those sick "leaders" who imposed themselves by force on their social environment.

because you only see federalism from the swiss and the American perspective

but if you take a closer look at the Lebanese heterogeneity (of religions, cultures, sub-cultures, languages, origins, beliefs etc...) you'll change what's in your mind... and it's a pure division...

Federalism in Lebanon is an absolute failure

1) 17 religions living together in the 10452 km2
2) too many cultures
3) too many nationalities (Lebanese, Armenians, Kurds, Syrians, Palestinians...)

Federalism is the last resort of Tawteen, it'll keep the Palestinians in Lebanon for the end of time and they'll never go back home + they'll become Lebanese from a Lebanese state...

overall, it can't be done in Lebanon, and if it is done, good bye lebanon

So if you are going to take from your prospective, then we already have federalism:

- The State of DJ (dahye jnoubiyyeh)
- South
- Bourj hammoud (Armenians)
- Tarick Jdideh
and so and so .... all are classified regions!

This Federalism is from different prospective, wich is the Swiss , or American or whatever.

so can u enlighten me and tell me what's Federalism ?!

النظام الفيدرالي أحد أنظمة الدول المركبّة
أمّا النظام اللبناني الحالي فهو نظام برلماني الذي هو أحد الأنظمة
في الدول البسيطة

as "xcoder" said the solution in Lebanon is Decentralization not federalism.
