Is telling the absolute truth a gd or bad thing? I mean isn't it better 2 be honest with someone instead of lying 2 them? So what is the best approach not saying anything? Does it depends on some circumstances?
If telling the truth is only going to cuz hurt & not really serve a purpose than u think that it should be better left unsaid? Does it considerate a lie?

When we talk about truth, we can talk about children too... If a 3 years old girl , any girl , asked an adult: "What is rape & Murder?"
The truth in the answer would have to be altered cuz of the sensitive nature of the question & of course u might ask " y do u ask that question? "
so my other quetion is this: What age should truth be administered to a child ?
How much honest u are?

well im used to say the truth whatever the circumstances are...

Whatever the truth was hard and will hurt just say it... Saying the truth eventhough it hurts is much better than lying... w "7abel el kezeb 2assir"...
For the age enno even if a kid asked such a question u should be honest with him of course in a way that will make him accept the truth and understand it easily... and as blyblu-dima said a 3 years old kid won't ask u such questions... and if he asked he has to know the truth cuz he'll know it sooner or later, which won't make a big difference if ur way of telling him it is gd...
So we just have to know how to tell the truth...

Well,the most important thing is to always tell the truth no matter how much it hurts,it may hurt at the beggening but at the end it will make persons feel better...

Well of course someone should always say the truth, unless his wife or gf asked :"do you think i'm fat?" ... here always says No

Concerning children, well i feel we should worry more about how to make our children say the truth ... coz if they learned that telling lies is okey, then they'll grow up with this attitude ...

So here our responsibility towards them is to be a good example for them, to show them the benefits of telling the truth and the harm of lies ...

i voted for "no" but in my whole i tell the truth i never lie im honest in everything but by experience saying the truth lead almost time to bad consequences, why?! cuz simply ppl dont accept it easly, and what im sure abt it that saying the truth always will put alot of obsticules in front of you cuz alot of ppl around the world are affraid of the truth, i wish that i have the power to not say the truth all time, honesty is killer
