the avarage of sleeping is 8 hours a day
the day = 24 hours => the sleeping takes 1/3 of the day => t = you sleep 1/3 of your age ! 75 years = your age = a =>=> t = 1/3 x 75 = the time you have spent sleeping = 1/3 x a t = 25 years !!!

You cant know that exactly ..hehe ofcourse because you would have to track everyday's hours of sleeping and make an average.
And making a rough average can be unnacurate. I sleep around 11-12 ( usually ) and wake up at around 6. So I sleep around 7 hours. In summer It's kind of the same.And I think that will be the time i would sleep everyday till 75 years. ( haida eza 3ichna ) So I sleep around 2555 hours a year. So I would have slept 191625 hours in 75 years. 1 year is 8760 hours so 191625/8760 = 22 years So I would have slept around 22 years. and 7/24 is approximately equal to 22/75 if anything's wrong ill edit |

demoiselle Sarah , who said that you are right ?
1) the year is 365 days + 6 hours , so you cant take ( 1 year = 365 days ) as a base 2) the average sleeping is 8 hours a day and not 7 , go check your informations 3) why you did the calcul in hours and then you converted it to years again ? again , you sleep 8 hours a day = 1/3 of the day => you sleep 1/3 of your age no matter what you want to calcul and in what format you want it to be , year , day , hour , min ,sec , yalle baddik yeh

But everyone can have an average for himself or am I wrong ![]() and then there would be no use for everyone making his own calculation since the answers would be the same. ba3den 6 hours can be neglected as 8760 hrs a year Moreover every one has his own way of calculating. And yes i agree everyone sleeps 1/3 the day as i concluded in my post, bass that's approximately, and not exactly. |

okay , but you cant know your avarage illa last moment of your life lamma tkoun bi 3omr el 75 years w 3amma tmout 3al farshe
beside , you MUST take the hours of sleeping when you were a little child kids in general take about 10 => 12 hours a day of sleeping will trés petits enfants BIFI2O bass 4 hours a day only . so the entire calculation is based on : " ta2riban " and ta2riban a human being sleeps 1/3 of his age as i said in my second post no matter in what format you want to calcul : year , hour , day , week .....

Ya3neh the 1/3 rule you stated can either be more accurate than what each person is saying or it can be less accurate. Usually everything is made into proportions. So It's normal that thinkers (or whatever) make percentages for many things in life but these % are not necessarily the same for all people. They just help us to have a general view of something. Just like sleeping 1/3 of your life. It gives you a general view of how much tiem you sleep On the other hand, you are right , we can never be accurate , because of sleeping as a baby, or sleeping in the future. So In both ways it's kind of inaccurate. This thread gets you to the number THAT YOU THINK is the right one |

i sleep aproximativly 9 hours , so in a year i sleep : 9 * 365= 3285 hours wich is : 3285/24 = 136.875 day for 1 year
for 75 years it's : 1365.875*75 = 10265.625 days for 75 years ==>> 10265.625/365 = 28.125 years spendin sleeping i think we loose our life in sleppin
