From what I understand, the downloading speeds in Lebanon is quit slow. Downloading a movie would take really long. I don't know if you are familiar with the Matroska format. I allows you to make a movie about 300MB and still keep its quality.
Matroska Matroska's MKV "universal" Container is described by its developers as "the extensible open standard Audio/Video Container." This translates to a multimedia Container designed to support practically any type of video or audio stream you might care to use. MKV stands for Matroska Video. The project itself is simply called Matroska. Rather than being designed around a particular format's capabilities, Matroska's container simply provides a framework to mux and interact with audio, video, and even subtitle streams. Video commonly found in the Matroska container includes RealVideo, XviD, and more recently AVC. Audio ranges from Vorbis (OGG) to MP3 or even the original AC-3 audio from a DVD. Matroska files will sometimes have an extension of .MKA instead, indicating an audio only file - typically encoded in the Vorbis format. How to play MKV files Download CCCP (Community Combined Codec Pack), It contains a player called "Zoom Player", it can play everything. Link: http://www.cccp-project.net/ (I'm not going to post links to sites which you can download 300MB movies because of the forum rules, but PM if you want some |

ok, so we download the codec pack along with the player, and we play 300mb movies as if they were dvd rips.

vlc player plays mkv files .. only prblem is find movies encoded in mkv for download. some releases do that usually tv shows...The only good MKV movie i ever found was a Hi-Def of Shinobi movie which was around 800MB but has better quality than a 4GB dvd and has subtitles.

I didn't have that problem two days ago, but I have it now...
There was an anti-piracy crackdown on the site which I downloaded from, they remove every movie there is, now the site is re-uploading the movies so it will take a couple of days for me to start downloading movies again. But you can find a lot of 300MB movies on other sites too, use Google. |
