How much do web developpers/web designers earn?

I went through over 8 web designers. Each one charged me a different price ranging from 300-600 for the design. One guy even left the text from the other website.

I don't think its the copyright issue, I think its more that they lack business ethics. Between the 8 some of them wouldn't return calls, some would disappear, some would promise work to be completed in a day and they end up sending it 4 weeks later.

I agree with what you're saying, alot of guys are doing this nowadays. However, if you need to get a unique and quality design for your site, you will need to spend more money.
I don't think any web master is able to design a site, or at least, to make a brand new one.
Try to search for people that are creative. Creativity is very important - It is the first designing factor.

Big SpaceShip is a world wide company that has an excellent creative team. Look at one of their site that involves alot of creativity:

This might take some time to load (and most developers hate this I know hehe), but the idea is, if you look at what these guys are doing you will be amazed. but if you look further, then you will see that it's all about creativity.

To get in contact with professional designers, sign up in web design forums like HowDesign (howdesign.com), and you will get the chance to meet alot of experienced web designers there. Most of them are from usa, and they will charge you more, but it's always worth it when it comes to quality solutions.

Thanks for pointing out some companies. At the time I didn't know much about lebanese design companies ( I live in north america :P)

Another thing I noticed with some lebanese sites is that they all incorporate flash. They do everything with flash kilo flash bi flash.
