I really don't think seperating a girl from her mother is the soundest advice that can be given.
You may not love her, but obviously you care about her, otherwise you wouldn't go through all this trouble.
Do you think her mother is doing this just to be mean or because she cares about her daughter? A parent who's overprotective is better than one who doesn't give a damn about his kids.
Think about how this girl would feel if she had to cut all relations with her parents, how good will that relationship be between you two knowing that you are the cause of the problem?

Look, I'm not saying here that it doesn't matter the separation of the girl from her parents... When you want something of course you try to achieve it with less cost! But at the end when you find no choices, you are obliged to sacrifice!
