i have a new internet connection and i'm trying to share this connection,
i bought a switch and i connected to the other computer, the network is well configured,there is ping reply but no internet access please help |

did u add the DNS server to the 2nd connection ?

scoo007 , please take screen shots of the 3 connections ( 2 on the main pc , and 1 on the other pc) , and upload them to www.imageshack.us , then post them here

main pc :
main connection : change the configuration to automatic (if it's not working on the main pc) 2nd pc : change the DNS server , put the 2nd one that u find on the 1st conx on the main pc (in teh details) |

I have set the DNS server on the 2nd PC the same as the one present on the first PC main connection (the connection directly connected to the internet) however i m still facing the same problem... what could be done next?

It depends on the switch you have some switches need to be configured, so y dont you buy a hub instead

it depends on the interent provider, some ISPs fixe the internet on ur netqork card's mac address, so the best solution is to get another network card share the internet connection and then connect the switch/router/hub,
