I will recommend, however, that you have ample cooling in your case; preferably having either direct air cooling for the card itself, or some pretty solid water cooling. With a thermaltake full tower case, running 6 fans, the card is stable in the low 40's.
General notes: as any other user would report, this card is huge! Make sure you get a motherboard that allows you to install this card and still be able to use the PCI slots adjacent to it. I used the MSI P7N Diamond, and it accommodated it just fine. It also requires a lot of power, forget installing this card on any PSU with less than 600 Watts, or you'll be seeing messages along the lines of "the card's performance has been lowered due to power deficiency", or something like that. It's also a safer bet to go with an SLI-certified PSU just in case you would like to pursue that path in the future. Experience high definition worlds, lifelike characters, and forces of nature so powerful that your palms sweat and your heart races with every frame. Beyond games, watch Blu-ray movies and transcode video up to 7X faster than traditional CPUs1. Gaming that shakes you to the core With more gaming horsepower than ever before and 896 MB of memory, the GeForce GTX 260 GPU¿s 192 processing cores make games such as Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and Bionic Commando feel like the real thing. Its powerful NVIDIA PhysX technology creates rich, immersive physical effects with stunningly accurate realism. Experience absolute immersion and a 50% pure performance boost than prior generation GPUs with the GeForce GTX 260 GPU. The power to take you beyond the field of play, GeForce GTX 260 seamlessly shifts tasks from the CPU to the GPU, allowing you to dive into the latest Blu-ray movie, surf the web in 3D, or transcode video to a personal video player up to 7x faster than traditional CPUs1. Now you can work and play at full speed.

Well , thats a review by some guy about the GTX ,he said u need to have an ample cooling in ur case(dont know wats that ) , and that the card is huge , so i need a huge case , and i should get a psu that is not less than 600 w , or else the card will function improperly.
im obcessed with this gtx now , 50% better performance from the 9600 9800 geforces w hek .!But like u said , am afraid that it wont function 100% cuz of my cpu and my screen ( cuz it would need more ) , so thts money wasted.

I recommend do not spend too much on computers
especialy in lebanonmy friend bought his VGA for like 300$ nvidia whatever the number was w with like a year guarrenty, 7atara2it 5 month after he bought it(it was in the case he bought for 1200$ ) w they sent it to germany for repair, that was in september. w still no word from it yetnot to mention enno iza le3bit el kahraba and it happenes often here, your pc might get damaged I bought my case for 470 $ like 2 years ago. it's not a wow and you can't play games at very high quality, bas I don't need to panic each time there is raining and thunder outside, w each time something weird happenes to it ma bnem kel el leyl just my opinion
