Exclamation Please Help !

My Laptop was stolen

I have Bios password and Hdd password on start up . i use windows vista acnts have pswds and i also use folderguard to protect some files ( imp ) inside them
  1. what is the chance for them to access windows then access the protected files
  2. what chance they have to format the laptop though hdd and cmos are pswd protected
  3. give me % that everything will b fine nd my imp info will b safe .

1. password protected they cannot access your windows if they did...somehow, they cannot access your files for sure.
2. after format they can access your hd but not your files. Folder Guard can hide your personal folders from other users.

3. i can't give u % cs it's a big responsibility to say it's 100% safe

-Anyone can bypass the bios password (shi 2el battery for 5 min you get access...)
-They can bypass the vista user password by a simple booting cd(if they have it...)
-And I don't think they are smart enough to bypass folderguard...

bios pass: removed by a 2 minutes battery removal (too bad)
i know nothing about HDD pass
vista pass is surely bypassable (what if they remove the HDD and put it in slave mode with other computer)
"LINUX" is your worst enemy now.

chances of keeping your data safe depends on the reason for stealing it, if they meant to steal the data, they will access it with 60% chance of success, while if they stole the PC for its value, the ony thing they will do is to format or restore to factory form.

Can they by pass the HDD password on start up ? even if they by passed the bios pass ?
