Rights Vs Privilege

Ladies n gentlemen, with all the talk about right to life, right to choice, right to vote, right to privacy, right to whatever, fundamental rights; what is a right? What rights to humans have "naturally"? Are rights just privileges that are very popular?

you have the right to do anything you want as long as you don't hurt another person or violate them physicly or socialy(if I stand 5 cm from you and stare at your eyes with rage, that's a social violation, a stranger would beat you up because of it

)

and this is part of my problem with religion
religion places rules that are irrelevant and totaly without meaning and bans or restricts some harmless things with the penalty of going to hell
