Bayern stand firm on Ribery
Bayern Munich's general manager Uli Hoeness has turned up the heat on clubs trying to sign Franck Ribery, insisting that the French ace is worth at least 100million euros.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with 26-year-old forward in recent times, but Bayern remain adamant that they do not want to part with Ribery.
Hoeness told Bild: "If I hear that there was an offer for 125million euros for Kaka, then Ribery has a market value of at least 100million.
"But I don't want to talk about a fee we would consider because we want to keep hold of Franck."
Hoeness had earlier told the same newspaper: "If a player comes to ask for a transfer, we will listen to him and consider his appeal.
"However, no-one has been in touch with us yet and I can only insist I will not answer the phone if there are clubs willing to make such bids.
"You will not even get a leg of Franck Ribery for £45million."
Meanwhile, the Blues are reported to have agreed a deal to sign CSKA Moscow's Yuri Zhirkov.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for the Blues, with a representative of the Russia international claiming that Zhirkov had already agreed terms to move to England.
He told Russian newspaper Tvoi Den: "Zhirkov recently signed a contract with the British club. The transfer is not being announced as it was agreed in the strictest confidence."
