Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano has welcomed reports linking compatriot Carlos Tevez with a move to Anfield.
Tevez, whose two-year loan deal with Manchester United is coming towards an end, has been linked with a summer switch to Merseyside. The striker could again link-up with his Argentina international team-mate after the pair arrived together in England with West Ham United in summer 2006. And Mascherano, who joined Liverpool in January 2007, would be delighted to be playing alongside his fellow South American again next season. "It would be great to have Carlos here with me, I know how good he is," he said. "But I don't really know what the situation is. It is certainly a difficult one. "I don't know exactly what is happening. The only thing I can say is that he is a great player and a great person." |

OFFICIAL: Diego Signs For Juventus
Juventus have finally captured Diego and, after months of battling for his signature, the Brazilian star has signed for the club officially. A statement on the club's official website reads: "Now it's official: Diego Ribas da Cunha is a Juventus player. The Brazilian talent has signed a five year contract which will tie him to the club until June 30, 2014." Diego is delighted with the move and, before heading back to Germany for the German Cup Final on Saturday between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen, he stated, "I am enthusiastic about Juventus and I am proud to be a part of this prestigious club which I have dreamed about since I was a child. "After my experiences in the Bundesliga and in Portugal, I can test myself in Italy with football of the highest level. "It's a difficult and competitive league. I think it's the right moment in my career to make this important step and I am convinced I can reach important objectives with Juventus." The details of the deal are as follows. Juventus will pay Werder Bremen a total of €24.5million. iN your face bayern fans

Gomez deal is 90% done, plus bayern are now seeking Serna as a RB (great player) and maybe they can make a deal with bordeaux if they swap luca tony with goucrouf plus cash.
anyway with few more signings we'll become a powerhouse once again.

Bayern Munich have set their sights on signing VfB Stuttgart's star striker Mario Gomez this summer. The 23-year-old Germany international scored 24 goals in the Bundesliga season just ended, rising to the top of Bayern's wish-list in the process. General manager Uli Hoeness told DSF: "We will start talks next week and then we will see what comes of it. "I would say he is a very interesting player and I am relatively optimistic." Gomez has 33 goals in all competitions to his name this season, having also netted six times in the UEFA Cup and three times in the DFB-Pokal. |

uventus have confirmed that they are willing to listen to offers for David Trezeguet.
The France striker has struggled with fitness and form this season and Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has admitted it may be time for a parting of ways. Trezeguet has scored over 150 goals during eight seasons at the Turin club. "David Trezeguet is a big player, but we will see if there is the possibility to get a good deal for him and a good deal for us," said Gigli. Trezeguet has been linked with several English clubs in the past, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. |

Bayern stand firm on Ribery
Bayern Munich's general manager Uli Hoeness has turned up the heat on clubs trying to sign Franck Ribery, insisting that the French ace is worth at least 100million euros. Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with 26-year-old forward in recent times, but Bayern remain adamant that they do not want to part with Ribery. Hoeness told Bild: "If I hear that there was an offer for 125million euros for Kaka, then Ribery has a market value of at least 100million. "But I don't want to talk about a fee we would consider because we want to keep hold of Franck." Hoeness had earlier told the same newspaper: "If a player comes to ask for a transfer, we will listen to him and consider his appeal. "However, no-one has been in touch with us yet and I can only insist I will not answer the phone if there are clubs willing to make such bids. "You will not even get a leg of Franck Ribery for Ģ45million." Meanwhile, the Blues are reported to have agreed a deal to sign CSKA Moscow's Yuri Zhirkov. The 25-year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for the Blues, with a representative of the Russia international claiming that Zhirkov had already agreed terms to move to England. He told Russian newspaper Tvoi Den: "Zhirkov recently signed a contract with the British club. The transfer is not being announced as it was agreed in the strictest confidence." |

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager on a three-year contract.
Ancelotti only confirmed that he was leaving the Rossoneri on Sunday and refused to say that he was heading to Stamford Bridge to succeed Guus Hiddink. A statement on the club's official website: "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to become our new manager. "He has signed a three-year contract and will start work on July 1, 2009. "Carlo was the outstanding candidate for the job. He has proved over a long period his ability to build teams that challenged for and have been successful in, major domestic and European competitions. "He also had a highly successful playing career in those competitions and therefore brings unparalleled all-round experience to the job. "We are sure everybody at Chelsea will give him a warm welcome and we are all looking forward to working with him." Ancelotti had commented after a 2-0 win over Fiorentina confirmed Milan's place in the Champions League next season: "In agreement with the club we have decided to terminate the contract a year early from its 2010 expiry. "I think it ends in the right way and is probably the right choice for both of us. Cristiano Ronaldo claimed 'everything went wrong' as Manchester United lost the Champions League Final 2-0 to Barcelona.
United had started brightly in the Rome but never recovered from falling a goal behind after ten minutes and Ronaldo blamed a combination of below-par performances and questionable tactics. "I cannot explain," said the world and European player of the year, who was eclipsed on the night by a host of Barca players including Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta. "We, the players, were not well, the tactics were not good... everything went wrong. "We have to give credit to Barcelona, but they were a bit lucky to be here because Chelsea did not deserve to lose and no-one has mentioned that. "I have to congratulate Barcelona. They were better, but football is just like this - only the winners get talked about." Meanwhile, Ronaldo admitted the defeat at the Stadio Olimpico 12 months on from winning the Champions League in Moscow was the biggest disappointment of his career. "We were always confident before the game but unfortunately we couldn't do it," added the Portugal international. "This is one of the biggest disappointments of my career." |
