If you take the world's best programmer and compare him to programmers now, you'll find that the n00b now is way experienced and better than the old programmer at his age and beats him in a second, the same for football and most of the things.

World Cup 2010: Italy Coach Marcello Lippi Will Not Call Up Roma's Francesco Totti
Reports claim Totti will be snubbed. ![]() By Salvatore Landolina May 7, 2010 7:05:00 AM Roma World Cup hopeful Francesco Totti is set to miss out on Italy's South Africa adventure as Marcello Lippi has already decided he will snub him, according to Il Messaggero. Totti has come under heavy scrutiny this week after lashing out at Inter striker Mario Balotelli in Wednesday's Coppa Italia final. The Lupi man kicked out at Balotelli to earn a red card, and later claimed he was provoked by the youngster, who hit back in saying Totti made racial remarks. Lippi was at the Stadio Olimpico and witnessed the controversy unfold first hand. But this is not the reason why he will leave Totti behind. Lippi has made the decision based on technical choices, feeling he doesn't need him. And it is said Totti already knows he will not be going. 'Er Pupone' had talked of his availability to come out of the international wilderness after leaving the Azzurri in 2006. And although Lippi said everyone would know Totti's fate on May 11 when he picks his preliminary Italy squad, his list is likely to have a cross by his name. Meanwhile, president of the Italian republic Giorgio Napolitano has condemned Totti's kick. The head of state told La Repubblica: "Clubs need to do more about curbing violence in football, and Totti's actions fall into that category, what he did was rash." World Cup 2010: Good Thing Italy Are Not Favourites - Fabio Cannavaro
Cannavaro says starting as favourites is not always a good thing... ![]() By Salvatore Landolina May 13, 2010 10:26:00 AM Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro believes starting the World Cup as underdogs is a good thing as he takes inspiration from 2006. Cannavaro is gearing himself up for the start of another month of hard work as he plots Italy's route in South Africa. And, while a number of nations have predicted a quick downfall for the Azzurri, the captain is keeping it steady. "Right, it's right like this. It's best not to start the tournament as favourites," Cannavaro told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Us Italians are the masters of starting negatively in general, but this is not right because we qualified for the tournament early, but we are always criticised. "It's just like in 2006. We played friendlies against Germany and Holland which we won, but no one had us as favourites. "Football is nice because of this. No one believed in it in 2006, but then everyone jumped on the bangwagon when we won." Source: http://www.goal.com/en/news/1863/wor...medium=twitter |
