I believe the past is the past and should be left there!
Is it necessary to tell someone all about your past when they weren't even a part of your life then? Or just tell them what you feel they need to know?why?

If the "someone" you are talking about is a "someone" as in a relationship, I think it is important you both talk about your past....It gets you closer, you understand each other better, and avoid mistakes that might happen later...After all, it is past, why try to hide it? Better to learn and teach others from it...

The past is indeed important. I believe the " special someone" (if that's what you mean) should know everything about your past because he will naturally deal with you accordingly. for sure i cant tell my past why?! just for a simple reason i cant remember everthing, i think if im in a relation the past will shown itself with the relation goes on

I don't think u can live the present and plan for ur future without remembering ur past! enno akid u should get over it and dnt live it again bass as abousoun said it's all abt learning lessons and gaining experience

Well i'm an "over honest person" and I want everything in the relationship to be clear in order to make it stronger so YES I tell evrtg abt my past and I ask my partner to do the same. anw I have ntg to hide or to be ashamed of

well, sometimes, there is no need to discuss an abusive past boyfriend / girlfriend or a time in your life that you’d rather forget.

for me, The past is a place for done deals i can share some echya but not always!

i do not have to go into detail about any messy break-ups.
