Default Civil War #2?

Guys...We all know the dangerous situation we are currently witnessing here in Lebanon...

How many of you think that we might actually go through a new civil war?

How many of you think we will witness a few fights over here and a few over there, but no civil war?

How many of you think that we will not witness neither fights nor a new civil war?

Please explain your thoughts...

I think we'll not go through a new civil war because the people know what's the cost and the aftermath. Although, the people are still very attached to their parties which is dangerous.
It's very weird but the current situation is almost the same as the period before the French revolution: there is a power entity that sucks the people's life/money/freedom.
I think Lebanon really needs a revolution to get rid of all the current corrupted government and start with a fresh one which is powered by the people (I mean all the Lebanese people not few of them).
There's only one step left: show our unity.

Something like the blessed french revolution would never happen in Lebanon and you stated the reason why it will never happen. In Lebanon, people will never agree on who or which is the "power entity that sucks the people's life/money/freedom."

When religious identification and segregation come to an end(if it ever does), we can start dreaming of a unified revolution against every corrupt politician or dishonest man in power despite what sect he is from.

As for the main question....I don't think there will be a civil war, occasional clashes might happen but I hope they won't and even think that it is unlikely any heavy clashes would occur....

Peace

Exactly, as an example, as lebanese we dont have 1 ennemy of state.
This varies according to your sect, so to some it is Israel, to others it is Syria, and even to others it is both.

So we cant even agree on who is the ennemy, dont ask us to do a unified revolution.

Exclamation Re: Civil War #2?

Revolutianary state comes from what is called total denial of the oppression being forced on people. Thus , in Lebanon we have many different convesrsions on who will fight what. Backdays we had a unified and clear idea about who is causing the much of detoriaration in lebanon, those was Syria and Israel and everybody would have agreed on backthen, Now the situation have converted to inner conflicts which wouldn't serve more the outer powers. And that what at least the politicians are aware of and know that everything will fall on everybody if civil war is doomed to happen.

So i don't think a civil war would occur .

Well,he should ask, but the right question is how to achieve such unity not to assume that it is available...I said the condition to achieve it,end religious segregation and religious identification in Politics occasionally fades out...

That's correct but my vision is: all current leaders = 1 ennemy.
Lebanon is in a critical situation, there is only one entity that can be guilty: the government.
When I call to revolution, it's about dropping this blind support to someone's profit.
Of course, without political parties, there aren't politics but as I said before we need fresh ones.
In summary, when something doesn't work, we've to change it not to stick to it and endure the repercussions.

c1ndy, the right combination in Lebanon is missing...I agree that all the political parties are either corrupt or born out of corruption but the sad fact is I don't see too many Lebanese ready for self (and own party and sect) criticism, so blind obedience and following will stay the more common trend for some time ....It is a long journey.....
