If we try to define Lebanon, I am sure that each one of us will have his point of view. We will not have a unified point of view. Do you think that this what makes it a unique country that can survive or will eventually collapse.

I don't know why when i read your question, i remembered Ziad's play "Film Amerki Tawil)
"Rashid" bitterely discovered in "Film Amerki Tawil" that the new Lebanon is not only but a "La7me b3ajin" !!!!!

Just listen to the play and you won't beleif that it was made more than 25 years ago ... you think he is describing the current situation with all the mad details:
- 80% of lebanese wants new lebanon opposed by 80% of lebanese who don't want new lebanon !!!
- Abdel Amir wants to make a book to reveal the truth and to understand the ongoing conspiracy
- The Outsider : is it USA, Syria or Palestine ? and who to blame ?
- The Armenian is he lebanese or foreign? Sterio
- Rashid blindly support his leader and makes him a saint and he is willing to kill for him
- The high secterian tone and the accusations between the different actors
- The one who is always predicting that there will be bombing
- and the most important thing in the play is the location ... where it takes place in a sanitarium (mestachfa mjenin) and the treatment consists of debates to force certains to convince other lies

Ziad have predicted what happened and will happen in Lebanon and the problem is the show is still going on.

The question after 27 years will Lebanon be la7me b3ajin ? or in this time of globalization will turn into possibly Hamburger, McDonald, Kentucky or probably croissan 3a jabneh !!!???
