Argentina Lead Brazil, Italy In 2007 FIFA Rankings

Argentina will end the year on top of the world after being placed first in the FIFA world rankings for December

It is the third month on the trot that the Albicelestes have been in first place, after they knocked Italy off their perch back in October.

Due to the lack of international matches over the past month, the top 20 teams in FIFA’s list are identical to those of November.

Brazil are behind Argentina in second, despite thrashing their bitter enemies 3-0 in the final of the Copa America during the summer.

World Champions Italy are in third, while fellow European powerhouses Spain and Germany are fourth and fifth respectively.

The Czech Republic, who may see legendary star Pavel Nedved come out of international retirement in time for Euro 2008, are in an excellent sixth place.

Raymond Domenech’s France are seventh, Portugal are eighth, while Holland and Croatia complete the top 10.

As for the British nations, new England boss Fabio Capello will certainly be looking to improve their position of 12th, just two places above Scotland.

Northern Ireland are in 32nd, the Republic of Ireland in 35th, while Wales are languishing in 57th.

نهت الارجنتين عام 2007 على قمة التصنيف العالمي لمنتخبات كرة القدم في التصنيف الجديد الصادر يوم امس الاثنين عن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا).
محافظا بذلك على موقعه في الصدارةبرصيد 1523 نقطة.وتلته على الترتيب منتخبات البرازيل (1502 نقطة) وإيطاليا (1498 نقطة) وأسبانيا (1349 نقطة) وألمانيا (1298 نقطة) والتشيك (1290 نقطة) وفرنسا (1243 نقطة) والبرتغال (1241 نقطة) وهولندا (1170 نقطة) وكرواتيا (1129 نقطة).وعلى المستوى العربي استعاد المنتخب المصري الصدارة العربية وصعد المنتخب المصري مرتبتين إلى المركز 39 بالتساوي مع نظيره المغربي الذي كان في الصدارة العربية بمفرده خلال التصنيف السابق. ويتساوى الفريقان حاليا في نفس الرصيد وهو 686 نقطة لكل منهما ويحتلان المركز السادس في أفريقيا خلف منتخبات نيجيريا والكاميرون وغينيا وكوت ديفوار والسنغال.ويحتل المنتخب التونسي المركز الثالث عربيا والمركز 47 عالميا ويليه على الترتيب منتخبات السعودية (61) والعراق (68) والجزائر (79) وعمان (84) وقطر (87) والسودان (92) وليبيا (95) والامارات (100) والبحرين (102) وسوريا (107) والكويت (119) والاردن (120) وموريتانيا (130) ولبنان (134) واليمن (144) وفلسطين (165) وجيبوتي (173) والصومال (195).
