LOL really? Who invaded first of all? Israel as a country didn;t start with an invasion...anyway that is off point. Yes residents of one village in the new established country integrated into the society of the new country and adopted everything about its ppl, I won't be surprised if that happens...

For me as a lebanese, i dont allow wala ma5loo2 ino to invade me, la israel wala syria wala saudia, wala any other coutries, and iza someone paints a mosque with any country's colors, ana be3tebro a traitor, w he lezem yin3adam, cz its a 5iyana 3ozma, w iza they like to paint, why dont they paint the flag of palestine, in order to keep in mind that the holy land of palestine is for muslims and christians together, and its not at all for jews. since it was the homeland of Jesus Christ, and it has something of "laylat al 2israa" with muhammad (forgive me, bas i dont know abt that thing kteer, cz manne feyet bl religion)

![]() Well, it all comes down to as who they are, if they are doing it as Muslims or as Palestinians. If they are doing this as Muslims: As you said, people from different religions pray along each other in order to strengthen a friendship or to better relationships. But in this case it wasn't a star of David they put on the mosque, it was the colors of Israels flag. Which would mean that they are making a tribute to Israel, you will have to compare it to a mosque painting the colors of the Lebanese flag on it(They are showing where their loyalty lies). So them painting the Israeli flag on the mosque is kind of OK(I use the term loosely). Also: Since Israel is a Jewish state there would be a little contradiction with a religion other than Judaism supporting that state. If they are doing it as Palestinians: That would mean that they have surrendered to the Israeli occupation, which in my view wouldn't be OK at all. |

So building on the two points, these ppl have agreed to be Israeli citizens and the blue and white colors are the colors of their flag. Now wa7ad e3ed be lebnen ekher hammo , can sit and sound smart about what should be Palestine and what shouldn't be but that doesn't matter. What matters are the people of the country who chose to put the colors of THEIR flag on their place of worship.... I will not salute them for nothing but their realism....but I think what they've done is expected and nothing to be frowned upon.... Peace |

P.S: Compare that situation to a Lebanese accepting Israel as his country during the 2006 war. I would see him as a traitor. |

did you even read my post, the one u replied to ? eza after 60 years the whole world and my people and I have agreed that it is not an occupation in the case of Galilee, then yes it is expected. I can't put myself in the same place because the Israel/Palestine issue is a very special one that goes back thousands of years where the Syria Saudi thing doesn't have the same nature.....FOR the last time, 1948 Arabs are Israeli and they want to be so....Quote:

What you said here explains to me a lot about your stand on this issue. These man made borders often mean the world to most people. I'd sacrifice all I have to see the Lebanese borders back the way they should be, I'm sure the majority of those on this forum fell the same.
