First...A 16 year old girl is not ALWAYS more mature than a 16 year old guy but lets assume she is, she is still not mature enough for a 31 year old man.

You moved the argument to the parents' right to choose for their daughter ,maybe unintentionally. To wrap things up I think I at 31, and anyone guy at that age, can convince a 16 year old girl to do anything he wants her to do even if it is to kill her parents ...l 3ale2a mesh metkef2a at all which is totally unfair to the girl....

because of that i said earlier age isn't only the factor, intentions play a role as well ... and here i won't judge intentions ...
The only constant factor in all this debate is the age of the girl which is 16 years ... and i see a 16 years old isn't that young coz in some countries, they're able to vote, drive, etc ... which means they are mature enough and responsible ...
I moved the arguments to the parents side because as i know a 16 year old girl in order to get married, she needs the approvel of her gardient or parents ... w 7atta law kein hal chab mekil rassa, in most times her parents have the final word

It gets easier with the extra 10 years One more twist, a 31 year old if he is smart, now can manipulate the whole family including the parents, which will be a tough thing to do if he is only 21...

Yeah it is a good thing that most countries need that...But the fact is, marriage is a pretty long commitment, why would her parents take the decision before she is old enough to be able to mount a sophisticated argument against the decision of her parents and the manipulation of her 31 year old prospective matrimony partner ?

It comes down to personal preferences, I wouldn't let this to happen if i was a member of the family of the 16 year old girl..And ofcourse I wouldn't marry a 16 year old girl when I am 31 damn It is more likely for me to marry a woman older than I am
