Yes of course it's counted as a partition especially if you see the swap as once, since the difference between them is in mbs.

Man i do have two partition on my laptop with windows vista, does this means that im unable to install linux on it?!
or i do have to create a third partition?!

w is it possible to install linux next to vista?!

P.S.: i do have Ubuntu 6.10 CD

hey download ubuntu 7.04 or 7.10...6.10 is obsolete except the LTS but it will be soon..so yes u need to create a 3rd partition if ur using 2 partitions only if ur 2nd partition is empty no need then.
