Default Racism

Racism is treating someone differently or unfairly simply because they belong to a different race, culture, religion, nationality, etc ...
And it has many different forms and practices ...

- Aren't we racist somehow ? and how ?

- Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?

- Is there a difference between racism and descrimination ?

- What can we do to stop racism ?

Share us what you think

Thank You ...

- Aren't we racist somehow ? and how ?
Ofcourse we are all racist in some way, racist against some ideas, against some people, against some cultures, etc...

- Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?
Yes, only if we truly love each other

- Is there a difference between racism and descrimination ?
Racism is the prejudice that one race is superior to another race
Discrimination is the unfair treatment of a person on the basis of prejudice

So they are practically the same

- What can we do to stop racism ?
We can have debates with racists to try to change their opinions
We can form wordwide groups that fight racism
We can try to make a change in what TV shows these days
We can close websites on the internet that practice rasism
We can make the law punish singers that practice rasism

everyone is racist somehow and sometimes we dont mean to be.It can be by our way of talking,thinking,acting....

- Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?
why not?if love exists

- Is there a difference between racism and descrimination ?
racism is the action that subordinates a group or an individual based on the skin colour.
discrimination is to treat differently a person or group of people based on their racial origins

- What can we do to stop racism ?
  1. Object to racist jokes and insults.
  2. Find out about human rights organizations in your area and what role they play.
  3. Encourage dialogue on racism and human rights

I think they are the same:
Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races should remain segregated and apart from one another.
Racism has existed throughout human history. It may be defined as the hatred of one person by another -- or the belief that another person is less than human -- because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person. It has influenced wars, slavery, the formation of nations, and legal codes.
Discrimination occurs when a person is treated less favourably than another in a comparable situation because of their racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation
- Aren't we racist somehow ? and how ?
Well actually in every case we all are even when we don't think are ,we are. If not in the huge manner but in the small one maybe,I'll give you example How many women these days have what you call Maid ;I used to call them that now I call them working People; how many of you seen the working person sit on a tabnle with your family eat lunch or dinner or whatever, NO they don't because people still think that they are not worth it or they are low level people is that right no that is racsim and discrimination. Another example, how many times have you entered a shop a small one and thought oof why didn't they just finish school or they don't understand as well as u do because you feel inferior because your the one buying and they are in need of that Job thats why they work there so phsycologicaly alot of people think they are better that is racism and discimination.

- Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?
Yes,To me there is no difference in Color, religion, race whatever all people are created equal and we where all born and have mothers and fathers. Of course I'd marry because of love no matter what they are.
- What can we do to stop racism ?
Teach people, open their minds to others, love, equality alot
Guys I read this online once about racism and war and Iraq,Afghanistan, saddam read its interesting:
Do not know of many Arab or Muslim Americans who do not feel somewhat out-of-place residing in the US with the constant propaganda and rhetoric thrown at viewers on a daily basis by our media. Its misguided purpose is only good at is promoting an unpleasant experience of alienation which has shown to express hostility.
The aftermath of 9/11 wrought terror on innocent lives of those living in Afghanistan. US and UK troops killed well over 3,000 civilians by December of 2001 alone. This number does not include the millions displaced, wounded and left without food/water. The statistics are staggering. The task of cleaning up is still yet incomplete in Afghanistan.
While the "War on Terrorism" continues to unfold, yet another war is on the horizon - Iraq. After 12 years of sanctions - depriving the people of Iraq the much needed medicine, water and other necessities that we here take for granted - the US has decided that now is the perfect time for an attack. How many will die in the war against Iraq? We already know it will cost the American taxpayer upwards of 200 billion dollars - this without financial support from other countries. And how much will it cost when its all "over". That is a figure no one has right now because what Iraq will need after this war will be without a doubt massive.
Recession? It will get worse.
There is absolutely no hard evidence that Iraq had anything to do with September 11th, or that Iraq has or is even currently building weapons, but these are the only theories that the US is hoping will justify an attack. If this war was planned around the days following 9/11, many Americans would have supported a war against Iraq - while the feeling of solidarity, patriotism and paranoia was high.
One cannot deny Saddam is an evil dictator, but he most certainly is not an autocrat. His power is limited and lacks the strength it once did before the sanctions. Not to mention, an attack on any arab state by Saddam would ultimately push him out of power.
And what does Saddam thrive on? Power.
Removing Saddam from power may or may not solve Iraq's problem. The method of action in his removal by the US is disturbing, costly, lacks humanity and may be viewed by some as terrorism in itself. As the broken record goes - Lift sanctions and get UN inspectors back to monitor facilities

Everyone is racist to a certian extent. People fear what they don't totally understand and shy off what is not exactly the same as they are. This creates mixed feelings towards other races with different cultural backgrounds and different habits. This often shows itself in words or actions that can be called racist.
- Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?
I doubt I would love a girl who is not Lebanese, not because I ruled it out but because that is what my experience with girls from other races (white) have shown me....I have no objection over it in theory...
- Is there a difference between racism and descrimination ?
Discrimination is unfair treatment for some individuals motivated by their color, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or sex...

Racism is prejudice against people from a certain and often the primary motive for discriminative actions and behavior

- What can we do to stop racism ?
Globalism and interracial reactions are inevitable and eventually Racism is one of the problems that will solve itself alone. But for now, education is the best way to liberate oneself from such prejudices..

Default Re: Racism

I'm not a racist
all men are equal, sometimes by instinct I get a weird feeling towards someone from a diferent color or religion(kinda weird you know), but that never stops me from interacting with them and talking to them, by instinct we are all racists yes, but that should not stand in our way in society. it is difficult to fight racism especialy since my parents did not help

ever since I took my sociology class last semester in the uni, our teacher really got us thinking about that
we did not choose who we are. who we are is about 75% chosen by the accident of birth

you did not choose gender
you did not choose religion
you did not even choose to be educated, you were lucky enough to get the chance to get an education when thousands of people lacked that because of financial or other circumstances
you certainly did not choose skin color or nationnality

so based on what would I discriminate and judge the other person? when I easily could have been standing in his shoes if my accident of birth had placed me there

I don't care what discrimination or racism is exactly, it's just grammar stuff, the main idea is what counts

Are you willing to marry someone from different color ?
actualy no
you can easily say yes I will and make everyone happy, but this is the truth that will hit you in the head
what will your parents say?
what will the neighbors say?
people will be pointing at you for the rest of your life(not that I really care but still...)
it does not have anything to do with me being a racist or not, it's because of the form of our society
at first glance you might convince yourself it will not matter to you, and that sooner or later they will get use to it, and that you are free to marry who you want, but that is no more than a fantasy

there is also another important reason: I'm only attracted to white blond girls with bleu eyes (no offense to brown eyes people with black hair and dark skin, you're still ok(God knows I fall under that category ))

- What can we do to stop racism ?
children are the future
there should be awareness classes and atheist schools
I really believe religion based schools promote racism(no offense)

I spent the first 15 years of my life without encountering a sigle muslim in my school!(catholic school, muslims wouldn't have exactly felt like home)
that certainly did not help make me open minded, I got there eventualy of course, but it would have been better if we were not classified into groups ever since we are born
