This kid has big issues, if that's the way he treats his mother, i would be more worried about his classmates or the kids he plays with.
However, the parents hold the main responsibility, if they have drawn the line before he wouldn't have reached this stage for sure.
If i were her, i would have punched him straight in the face.

it was obvious that this wasn't the first time he hits his mother, but i should blame the parents too, because she didn't punch him back.

punching him back is not the solution for the cause it may be the solution os the sypmtom .. the kid would still hate his mother .. the mother would still have that aggressive bossy unattentional strategy to raise her child .. he needs ATTENTION he said it many times .. the boy just need to be heared .. to be loved .. hostility is not the main issue .. it's an outcome of that bad parenting (it is clear at 2:38 til 2:53 focus on that)..at this stage and because of this bad mother , the slap is "7alal" :P

I agree that it's his mothers fault, but that doesn't make it OK for him to hit.
Children need to be disciplined, his mother should have done that when he was a little kid, you just don't hit your mother.
Most children don't know what discipline is these days because parents are more concerned with having a friend-friend relationship than a parent-child relationship.
Parents should be respected before being liked, otherwise he will grow up to be spoiled and weak in his everyday life because he will still think that people should treat him like his parents did, constantly attending his every need.

his mother can't leanr him discipline and can't make him respect her because simply فاقد الشيء لا يعطيه she doesn't know the word respect .. i'm sure she hits him other wise he wouldn't have learned how to hit and smack her ..
