after hearing about mr sanioura selling Christian Lands lal nes s3oudieh (click here) now it's time to know what abou samir is doing with our lands

الجديد": بيع ومقايضة اوقاف مارونية لمقربين من صفير بـ700 الف دولار

ذكر تلفزيون "الجديد" نقلا عن بيان ورده باسم "فقراء الطائفة المارونية"، أن هناك عملية بيع ومقاضة لأوقاف الطائفة المارونية لمصلحة أشخاص مقربين من البطريرك الماروني نصرالله صفير.
وذكر البيان انه تم مقايضة العقار رقم 157 في منطقة ذوق مصبح، والعقارين رقم 1483 و1484 في منطقة غدير، مشيرا الى ان ثمن القارات يفوق الـ700 الف دولار.
وأشار البيان الى أن ملكية العقارات تم نقلها لصالح كل من زياد وفادي ووالدهما انطون صفير المسؤول عن مالية البطريركية.

I don't understand....Somebody who is Christian plz explain

So a christian person is buying a lot of lands that belong to Christians ? And the problem lies where exactly ? I know ppl who bought whole villages with the mountains surrounding them Nothing Illegal is happening here...

But the church gets the money right? so instead of lands they will have money, still the operation sounds legal especially that Christians are buying the lands...

The problem as i'm reading it lies in that Sfeir is selling the lands to people close to him and with cheap prices ...
The money (مال وقف) the church is supposed to get will be much less

Mr deAtheganized, the problem is that no one has the right of selling the (مال وقف) ... those are historically connected to the Church and no one has the right of selling it.

the buying and selling may be legal, but in Lebanon these lands belongs to the maronite church (not Sfeir) and these lands are the only guarantee of the Christians of Lebanon.

and when these lands go to a hand from outside the Church it's like they were lost, because no one can prevent the buyers from selling them again to foreigners.

anyway i don't adopt the principle of every sect having its own lands, there is nothing called christian lands or muslim lands. Lebanon is for all the lebanese people, and every part in Lebanon is for every Lebanese, but unfortunately we live in a underdeveloped country where a bunch of stupid men of religion rules us and cover a corrupted criminal and assign him as the political representative of the sect, w jib sirto eza fik (like what happened when the opposition threatened of storming the Serail in 2006, jann l Mufti w keno 3a shwei 7a yejo yjehdo men Jozor l kamar ).
