Peace/Happiness/Boredom

Some people agree that we would be living in total Happiness if there was peace in the world, no racism, no discrimination, and those stuff. Others believe that total Happiness brings Boredom, and that we should live sad/stress/angry moments to avoid being bored. So, what do you think?

my two cents for now:

i dont think we would know what happiness was/is if we didnt experience sadness. We value happiness so much so that we dont have to be sad only because we know how it feels.

Boredom is the fear of doin' nothin'... It's the fear of the silence of ur own mind... It's the fear that one's life will come to an end if one stops thinkin'... basically long story short, Boredom is a negativity, it creates problems... as Miss Taratata said, we wouldn't know what happiness means if we weren't sad, upset & depressed... so i think that the negative things that happens into our lives are called Experiences To Happiness...

no I'll tell you what boredom is
boredom is when your parents force you to spend summers in a mountain far far away from human civilisation
where you spend 3 month is a row bidoun ichtirak moteur, living on 8 hours a day of electricity
no friends
no grocery store or a cocacola vending machine within 4 KM range of you
no internet
nothing

when you sit 3 month staring at theceiling of your bedroom trying to force yourself to sleep to pass time
that is boredom
aaahhh(this comes from the dephs of a tormented soul )
those were my summers until I turned 17
then I started living alone in jounieh, in a dirty house, eating nothing but can food, one meal a day for a living losing 10 KG each summer
and I do so gladly rather than spending one more minute in that house

this my friend is boredom
and after that I really started to appreciate the simple things in life

yeh , if ur happy all the time , u would stop feeling the joy of feeling happy after being sad , happiness would become a normal feeling that u feel everyday .

yes when I was that bored
I was missing the nights when I had exams and I couldn't sleep
too much void is bad
stability is bad

Lol @ mr_j, the boredom was the end of the chain , what I meant was that if we lived in total Peace we would be bored, not what we should do in case of total Boredom LOL.

Interesting Topic, As Some Said, If You Don't Experience Saddness, You Wont Know What Happiness Is.

In Fact, A Person Doesn't Know How Precious The Things That He Has Are Until He Looses Them, Or He Need Them Mostly And Can't Find Them. This Includes Money, Family, And Other Materials Besides Good Feelings.
