Thanks for the important thread jess,

first of all the traffic signals playa very good role in optimizing traffic in lebanon but there are some stuff that those signs can'tdo...

one of our biggest problems is using the tools without the palns, which menas that we put the signs but with no plans...

the leabanese main highwayy is narrow, signs on a highway can do nothing, but if you optimize the highway for a minimum of 3 lanes and dedicate each lane for a specific vehicle weight this will solve a big part of the problems.

2nd of all, the roads need alot of mainetenance and lighting and more bridges should be taken into consideration

last but not least if we re-use the train and reabilitise it;s use i am sure that we wont feel any traffic

it;s a fact that when you power public transfer you reduce traffic.. so if we have advanced buss stations and train we will live in paradise imagine 20 min to get from batroun to sin el fil ^^ this is like a dream.. all of this lead to to reduce noise and air pollution plus the traffic and reduce car accidents.

u know guys, the traffic signals maybe bikhaffefo 3aj2a bs they also cause lot of accidents

I think the traffic signals arent the only reason that causes a traffic.... fi shorteh el ser

Red light = el sayarat betzammir
Orange Light: Also sayarat bedal tzammir
Green Light: wel zamir bidal meshe

well , look at it this way , the cars coming from the south are 40 cars , the red light keeps them waiting for 2 minutes, while there are no cars coming from the west , the green light stays on for 2 minutes , now thats what makes a jam , so no traffic lights , its better

u know where we have a traffic signals we dont have a policeman lol

traffic signals are a must everywhere, but u need the drivers to respect these signals!!! And especially those "mobilettes"... its like the signals are only for cars! they pass near you when the light is red and voum voum bitle2i ata3 w fal!!!! WTF!!!
