am confused now u either have one of those two configurations :

1)an idm dsl modem connected to a router to provide wireless internet (like me)
2)u have a dsl modem with wi fi (the one idm offers it for u ) and readers dont get excited they offer it for money not for free

if u got system one then i can help if u got system 2 sorry i cant btw how are u connecting to the internet now ?!

I have an IDM Modem connected to a Wireless router (system 1)
about now, ana i asked the cable provider to stop my account, bas howe 3adatan bya3te period la da 6th day of da month, so since 7tara2et l modem, im using it, for free, w ba3mel download 3aleih b4 11 pm..GR8 sa7 ?

What i meant is, 7a2a l modem 77$ w ma bteswa, eno it is cheap bl neheye ka quality, w se3ra kteeer ghaly iza badna ne7ki ka price/quality ratio, w ana i got a D-Link wireless router (system 1) which im satisfied of

hehe eh hek fakkaret i got a linksys router wich is verygood and about the same price as urs but mine is G wireless -its what i need.
so try connecting the modem to the pc without the router,if u got connected to the internet this means the modem is fine w bekoon fe galat bel settings taba3 el router .. i had a similar problem b4 ..
and concerning the IDM support keep bugging them 24/7 fe wa7ad bekoon 3al se3a 7-8 pm his name is elie i guess he's very helpfull

badak teda7ak, i called awal day, because ana i got the first month for free offer, so eltelo "ba3d ma meshyet fek tshefle leh", a3ad y7arejni eno "kef bya3tok awal month for freee", w eja la ye2telni
about the modem, i got a replacement for it 2day, when i go back home ill try it, nshallah kamen ma tef2a3

w eh dayman iza ma meshe l internet i connect directly to the modem, thats what i used to do

well i am not familiar with these stuff i heard on the radio that sodetel unlimited package will be instaled for free but it has a bandwith
i asked my friends what is bandwith they told me that the speed will get lower with each download and i like to download alot i am a heavy downloader i have been restraining mysself from downloading alot (6 months) because i use ogero
the reason i use ogero is because of my stupid family they thought that ogero was going to close all the other competetors (IDM,terranet,sodetel...etc) eventhough i complained alot they ignored my opinion and sticked to ogero and now they suffer the consequences
i told them we can change to sodetel but they are still afraid

anyway i was hoping you guys tell me what to do now that i've read that you prefer IDM over the unlimited sodetel package
and if i choose one of these providers how much time must i wait for them to instal the new network? and last is it possible that i don't have to stop the ogero connection before i get the other connection? i mean i don't want to stay for 1 or 2 weeks without internet especially since i am going to do all this behind my family's back then when they know (kil hades illo hadis)

eh u can switch to idm for example but u need like 3 to 4 weeks max ,i think the limited package is enough or feek tmashe 7alak feya i download a lot during the night i can download 2.5 gb in one night (512k=1024 k in night) which is more than enough for me ..its better than the sodetel limited offer..
