اعتبر نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء عصام ابو جمرا ان الهبة الروسية من طائرات الميغ "هدية ثمينة"، لكنها تبقى "كمن يهدي سيدة معطفاً او فيزون في حين انها بحاجة للجينز"، مشيراً الى ان لبنان بحاجة لاسلحة متواضعة لان طائرات الميغ الروسية "تُهلك لبنان من حيث الصيانة واستخدامها لا بل قد يكون الاعتماد عليهاً صعباً او مستحيلاً" وذلك بالعودة الى التجارب السابقة لبعض الدول العربية. وأشار ابو جمرا في بيان اليوم،الى حاجة لبنانية لطائرات الهيليكوبتر من نوع كوبرا او أباتشي المزودة بأسلحة وصواريخ يمكن استخدامها بطريقة سهلة وعملية بالاضافة الى صواريخ "ارض جو" يحملها المقاتل مع امكانية نقلها من مكان الى اخر elnashra
