Well, i think it's Malek, Malek as stated in the story is a Very Jealous Guy, and Jealousy can make u do things u've never done

don't think too much about building access, personnaly I didn't give it much thought
jak is the guard but he sleeps on duty, so anyone could go past him(assuming he was not the assassin)
the boss went to the office. therefore the gate to the building was opened and the office door was opened.

w enno aktar chi, if it were locked, the assassin could call him and ask for entry 3al telecom. in the end, they may all have a motive to hate him and kill him, but he didn't excpect murder from anyone of them...
w he wouldn't lock himself inside, especialy when he thinks there is a faithful guard outside
point is, everyone could access that building, so don't look there.

my own theory goes like this :

- since the fingerprints scan excluded phenomenal, jak and duce so I think it was one of them ... (ma badde 3a2idda ktir)
- I'll exclude phenomenal since he is benefiting from Alfred
- That leaves jak and duce ... both have the motive (as most of the others)
- First impression was duce is the killer (brother of jess hated by Alfred and not invited blablabla), while jak looked like the kind of a sleezy guy who doesn't give the impression of murderer (ma3 eno haydol bi5awfo aktar chi :P)
- But since he was killed in the office ... so someone should have access to the building ... duce can't have the keys even from jess since he is not allowed to approach her ... while jak as the building guard may have those keys
so my final impression is that jak is the assassin :P

Edit : i want to add how jak got the knife since he was not invited and it would look stupid to go the restaurant and expose himself (unless he sneaked and stole the knife bass kamen bala te32id ktir halla2 :P ) ... anyway he got it from Crystal Soul when she went to buy tickets (dallit 3 hours ta tjib tickets la game ... in lebanon ma fi 3aj2a 3ala chebbek el tazekir :P ... and she has the motive : to avenge her husband's right for the position ...)

but the gate building should be closed after he went in ... since it's christmas w 3otle and the company must be closed 7atta for employees

if the boss is assured that he has a faithful guard outside, then the guard must have been awake when he entered the building and he must be awake during the time he is inside since the boss came to the office unexpectedly during christmas time and afternoon ... so logically it should be for something urgent ... the guard can't take the risk of sleeping and to be caught when the boss comes out otherwise his ass will be fired :P
(I agree he can sleep and do a lousy job during normal work period when he knows when everybody sign in and sign out and maybde during night-shifts)
so this guard must be alert during that time and able to identify who got in and out, unless he is the partner of the assassin and he was the one who called the boss to come to office and commit the crime

I am sorry if my post is long but i'd rather write just one post than 3 or 4, but mr_j wanted to make it real, so i had to look at it from a reality point of view.

ok like abousoun said, it is complicated.... so we should look at it from a real person's point of view, and not from a game point of view:

The motives:

Jess: money, killed him to get the money since she was his wife

Duce: loved his sis, hated jack.

Alias (me) : loved Jess, saw her suffering, killed Alfred so Jess can get the money, and then probably return to me...

Tony: no motive

Sogelec: no APPARANT motive

Phenomenal: killed Alfred bcz he knew he was a dirty cop and wanted to hide the evidence... but then... everybody knew he was a dirty cop... and Alfred was like, giving him money and shit......

Billy: angry he did not get the promotion

Crystal Soul: quoting from mr_j

black ice: alfred was hitting on her... she was annoyed

Malek: hates Alfi bcz he annoyed his girl

Jak: boss doesn't pay him much.

The clues:

1-the most important clue her is the murder weapon: "the knife"

the knife was the exact one that was in the restaurant(taba3 el kibbé) and that everyone’s prints was on it, except for himself, Jak and Duce.

this means :
see here.... they used the same knife, so, 3adatan, wa2ta el 3alam tfel men el restaurent, byejo el waiters w bi nadfo el tawle, so keno akhado el knif w ghassalou..... bass since they used the same knife.... this means enno 7adda men el 3alam yalli keno be el mat3am akhad el knife ma3o

=> this rules out duce and JAK
bcz for all we know, the police cheif could be waring gloves.


2- the second important clue: STABED INTHE BACK

Alfred was found in his office, dead, stabbed in the back with a knife

this means:... enno Alfred trusted the killer enough to turn his back to him
(byousa2 bel killer la daraje.... enno baramlo dahro)... which means that the killer an employee from the company or the wife or the police chief....

=> this rules out malek bcz he is not an employee, thus Alred doesn't trust him, and this rules out duce again, bcz he wasn't even welcome at the table, so Alfred will not turn his back to him. Also this rules out Chistal Soul bcz she doesn't work at the company.

now tony has no motive, new guy, doesn't have a history or problems with Alfred, so this rules out tony

we are left with the most highly possible suspects:
1- Jess (the wife who wants the money)
2- Alias (me) (obviously trying to make Jess happy)
3- sogelec: (no CLEAR motive. but still he is an employee)
4- phenomenal (the dirty police chief)
5- billy (angry at the boss)
6- black ice (annoyed by the boss)

and mr_j said clrearly that everyone went his own way
sogelec, phenomenal, black ice, billy droped his wife, she returned by cab,
Alias (me) gave Jess a ride home, and Jess had 4000 LL so she could take a cab to the company (2000 LL), and she is the company's owners wife so she can go in easly, and then leave back home with the 2000 LL left

HOWEVER I WILL NOT BE INCRIMINATING ANYONE YET
I WILL reserve my judgement for later... since everybody wants to kill JAK

plus this of this as well, since the Boss died under Jak's watch... JAK will be having a hard time finding a job since he couldn't protect his boss.

The employees don't need to call alfred to enter the building, for the non employees (jess, duce, phenomenal, crystal soul, Malek) they have to pass through Jak first - whom i established should be logically awake at that time - that will endanger him/her to become a prime suspect unless there was a collaboration with the guard

another scenario is that for example Malek can make someone to distract the attention of jak, call Alfred to open the gate because his fiancee forget something in the office, enter the office and kill the boss because alfred doesn't suspect him ... but why should he leave the finger prints of his fiancee - victim's personal secretary ?

Phenomenal won't kill at this point his money provider .. it's his loss

Duce wasn't in the party ... doesn't know that alfred in the office and he is not communicating with jess

Jess went with Alias home and there are no evident clues about them

Sogelec a happy man with his new job

Billy is miserable at this point, he was sure he'll get the job ... no prior motive to kill the boss

Black_ice i already explained why not ... so damn obvious

that leaves Crystal Soul and Jak ... I see a collaboration between those two as explained earlier ...
why crystal soul isn't the one committing the crime ?... she needs someone inside that is trust worthy to Alfred
