[Request] Engineering Project Ideas

Hey guys i have this course Engineering for the Community ( Intro to Engineering ) And I have to do a Project throughout the semester ( 60 % of the course's average )

Well i need ur help with some ideas ... not simple and not impossible

My Idea

1st to make car parking lets say with 10 cars capacity .. and on each lane there's a sensor ... when a car parks a red light turns on in the lane ... when the lane is empty , a green light is on ... and on the entrance there's a screen that shows the empty lanes for cars that want to enter and park !!

So What do u think ?! I NEED IDEAS GUYS !!

dude,i'm taking the same course,and my project was about how mechanical engineering and electrical engineering interact!..so i gave a general idea about MECHATRONICS and then i explained in detail how does a robotics arm work.!

if my hd ddnt burn , i would have sent u my bro's graduation project , he got number in turkey in the copetetion( he studied in turkey ) and he got Number 3 world graduation project copetetion , i bet that u wouldv got an A

this thing is present in AD ... on the entrance of the parking they show u the number of available lanes in each floor and on each parking its either a red light or a green light..its nice idea i think

Do you want to implement the project or just do a simulation (programming) ?

Make an automated home system. That's what I did in my first year.

In other words, you have to use sensors to monitor the status of the doors, garage, windows, light, temperature, water level (for water reservoir) and fire.
You need to control opening doors, windows light on/off, air condition on/off, water sprinkler system and fire suppression system.

There are some conditions which execute automated commands. Like when it's night, temperature is warm and water level is high; the sprinkler system starts.

note: your idea is good too but it is simpler than this one (in my opinion).
