MY first Post - Need your help

Hello everyone , i seriously need your help in two problems i'm facing :



1- I uninstalled msn 14 , and when i wanted to install it again , they said that it's already installed !! so i couldn't install it . Then I tried to install an older version of msn , but they said that i have a newer version installed , so i must uninstall the newer version to be able to install the older one .plzz tell me what to do

2- I'm usinjg Vuze ( formerly Azureus) to download torrents , but it's sooooooo slow , peers have a much higher download speed , so what do you think may be the reason , and how to increse the speed of torrent download ?!?

there is no MSN 14, there is MSN 9. google the location of the registery of msn and delete them.
about Q2:
try disabling the firewall.
what is your internet connection type?

i meant the newest version of msn whatever it is ,
i have a cable connection , the .torrent download is too slow ( between 1kB/s and 3 kB/s max)

plz explain how do i google the location of the registry , i'm a beginner

and yes my firewall is already disabled , now if cable provider blocked P2P then the download would be 0B/s
but it is not

the cable guy may limit the upload, so the software will automatically limit your download. you can't leech without seeding.

as for MSN, check this link

or go to google and type: "how to remove MSN 9" or "how to delete MSN registery key" or whatever..

1-control panel > add and remove > now find the msn msgr and remove it.
2-start > run > regedit > ctrl+F > write "live messenger" it'll search for sometime then u delete the entries for live messenger
3-restart then try installing msn messenger.

EDIT:if ur not familiar with regedit,download a registry cleaner 1st,i recommend Ccleaner do a registry scan i guess it'll work.

thx man after disabling the firewall my download speed turned from 7 Kb/s to 25 kb/s

To completely remove Windows Live Messenger 9 u need, ZapMessenger, search google and download it, once you run it, it will completley remove it, and you'll be able to install any version you like.

And if you want to have the Windows Live Messneger 9, you should download the offline installation version, which is around 170MB, and it will be installed smoothly, i did it on my computer.

Actually there isn't 14 is the build number for Windows Live Messenger 2009( Build 14.0.8050.1202)
