As edgard falls down on the ground, Sogelec looks up to see who it was that shot him from behind… and he sees Alias holding a gun towards him ”goodbye my Lord” and he shoots him dead too. Just then the musketeers flood into the room, the French army was exhausted after having been fighting each others between loyalists for edgard and followers for Sogelec, so it didn’t take too much effort for Alias’s troops to seize control of the situation, arrest the prime minister and the minister of war and send them to jail, and to take over control of the palace by force…

Days later, Crystal soul hears about the failed revolution attempt and about her prince being killed, so she hangs herself in agony
And everyone else lives happily ever after

It was Alias, he was the one who put the idea of revolution in the head of Sogelec in the first place, he wanted the French army to kill itself, this has always been his plan, but after the king threatened to remove edgard, it was dangerous for him because then the throne moves to Sogelec the only prince…and no one would be there to challenge him, So he kills the king, he later kills Jak because Jak is the king’s nephew…blood relation, Jak could take the throne if both edgard and Sogelec are dead. So he left no blood relatives to the king to challenge him.
The biggest clue to Alias was actually in the registration thread:

the assassin role will be to look innocent and to analyse the threads in a way to divert attention from him/her

what Alias did:

said it can't be edgard bcz he is already king,and jak doesn't even know his secret, and now jess is out, plus since jak is dead, it cannot be black ice
so the best way here is to choose by ellimination:
-black ice
-edgard
-jess
-jak
-duce (i mean... why would the cook do it ?)
-neoxter, the admiral is like old stuff and he wants to rest
-deAtheganized, the treasurer did walk out happy
-malek is a messenger (mr_j probably ran out of idea for malek )
- princess (but not really sure)
-sogelec why would sogelec kill his father, and then his cousin

so the ones that are left are:
-crystal soul (though i doubt it)
-G lebnen (british master mind with assassins.... plus crystal soul said that she would report to him in thread 2)
-tony the war minister (the guy is a war minister, thus a strategist, maybe he has secret plans)
-unregistered he is brutal and probably can kill you with a look from his eyes
-phenomenal ( it is quite clear why he wanted the king dead.... to marry jess, take over the throne plus save his son edgard)

he was smart, he defended some players... the ones he defended never suspected him.
