i know that the majority of you are installing Microsoft windows as OS.
are you satisfied with what Microsoft windows OS is presenting as services, softwares and help ? and , would you change your OS if any other company presented more advanced options and services ? Last edited by Jean; 10-02-2006 at 09:39 AM. |

well, i voted yes hoping that one day microsoft will finally have a rival.
truly i'm satisfied with windows xp, cuz everything works on it and it is ultra compatible with everything (unlike linux) in software and hardware. i have also been hearing stories about vista and i think it will be sophisticated enough and will also be easy to use. if a company offers another OS (not macintoch and not linux) i'll read reviews about it and i'll be open to install it.

Microsoft has at least one rival in the desktop market: Apple. Also Linux is getting more and more into this market, with user friendly distros like Ubuntu (Kubuntu, and Xubuntu - depending on what GUI you prefer). As for servers, Linux and BSD have the biggest market share
Cheers.
