Just for avoiding confusion, when he puts the address 10.0.0.2/24 , he can use this address later to be able configure the shaper remotely via winbox if he wants...

the thing is im working in an internet cafe at night, got like 23 computers, i got a very fast internet but if one of the clients opens a youtube video, the whole cafe stops responding and when downloading any file thei nternet is sucked like dust in a hoover by the client's pc, making all the others out of order or with very slow internet connection. im currently operating thru a router, but i heard that Mikrotik is way better to configure caching and shaping giving each pc a 10kB connection... w bala waja3rass w na2
i tryed googling it before i come to this forum, but nothing worked, i got the OS, winbox, both operating , i have ping from clients to router, and from router to Gateway, i was able to assign ques using winbox, configured the firewall, masquerading and lots of things, but i cant get the computers to access web.. so basicly, balashet ek3a im missing on somthing bass im not sure why, i cant get enaugh timeto concentrate on this thing .. thnks guys

Internet Access => port 80
Use telnet to connect to this port from a client computer and see what you will get... See also port 8080, it might be taken by default... Last edited by Google; 02-21-2009 at 09:35 PM. |
