I am a Christian and i don't care if a Muslim was elected as a president. In fact, the current Lebanese system is a rotten one, and every religious system will be a rotten one. I mind having a religious state whatever it was, Christian or Muslim, and no one can implement such a state in Lebanon, even the majority of Muslims in Lebanon are not with implementing an Islamic state in Lebanon.

People why can't you live with the idea of the Lebanese identity ?? in this country we have a total different culture than the Arab one, in Lebanon Lebanese are used to live freely, no one can enchain them with a religious system or backward cultures.
Lebanon will never turn into a religious country (Christian or Muslim) because the Lebanese people cannot live in such a system, even if Lebanon became a country with 100% of Muslim inhabitants they won't form an Islamic state, such thing is applied on Christians.

no i'm not talking about quantity or quality and it depends on how u define "culture" ...but for me i think yeah there isn't one culture in lebanon....there are mixture of cultures and fi2a mennoun based on religion....

No, culture is not 100% related to religion, in fact religions in their nature are great and full of morals, and if they were reflected on the culture we would have the best culture ever, but unfortunately the true meaning of religion in Lebanon and sectarian systems doesn't exist, what does exist are some wrong attitudes and corrupted policies that are being justified under the pretext of protecting a certain religion or sect.

And no, immigration is a problem which all the Lebanese people whatever was their religion, are suffering from.

The Lebanese culture is in my opinion the culture of every Lebanese, not a certain sect, and i do believe that even Muslims in Lebanon do not live the same way as Muslims in other Arab countries, and have a different view about everything.

No it is not the case, in Lebanon we have feudal politicians who are using religion as a pretext to keep their chairs and shares, and in order to make their fortunes and securing the future of their children who will become the future politicians and the protectors of the sect. in addition to those feudal politicians, men of religion are afraid of losing their power if a secular state took place, so they form with those politicians something called "corruption".
That's what politics in Lebanon is all about, no one cares about his religion, they just use it as a pretext to justify their corruption, crimes and theft.

As long as people are blind, we can't blame them, it's our role to enlighten them about the sad reality we are living in.. it needs time, but everyone should start from his own.

So and back to the topic, i do believe that Hezbollah are Lebanese, and they have no real intentions in applying an Islamic state in Lebanon, in addition to all the reasons that were given in the previous posts.
