Hi
I want to upgrade my RAMs in my laptop. Anyone has some experience if some brands are not compatible with each other? ie if I have a toshiba, do i have to get some specific brand, or any will do? And what about the specs? any suggestions? I currently have a 512MB card that I want to replace by a 1GB one (and maybe an additional 1GB in the future) on my tecra A4 (xp) |

To be more specific, can i chose any speed for the rams? 533MHZ 667MHz 800 ...? would "more" always be actually used by my laptop or will it be capped by some speed of other components? thx |

thx. Can you pls tell me what's the limiting factor that made you say 400 mhz?
and just to double check, you do mean ddr2? as for the cost, a 1gb kingston seems to be around 15-20$ (and they seem to be mostly 533MHz, 667MHz or 800MHz) Last edited by polo; 05-10-2009 at 10:44 PM. |
