Let's Dance Thread

Well Dancing to me is something I really enjoy. I looooooove to dance, and all kinds of dance. I never had lessons but i have watched every dance movie available in the market :P . I learned a few moves from these movies but not to much.

Ok this might sound insane, but i always dance if not in parties then alone at home to any kind of music.

Of course i do prefer certain songs and certain music genres such as:
For salsa, or mambo: Baila Casanova- Paula Rubio
For Oriental dancing : 3a tayyer - Saber el riba3i
For slow music: bitsir el diniyeh 2a7la - 3abdo mounzir (or any slow song)
For Hip-Hop: yeah remix - Usher or whatever you like - Nichole sherzinger.
Dabke: Anything for fares karam or 3assi 7eleni

At the one's who hate dancing,when you go to party,go clubbing,or attend a wedding,sit down,relax,jib kebbeye(****),3abi alcool w chrab, after 3 drinks,tell me if u still hate dancing

He is kinda right...I haven't danced since I stopped drinking a year and a half ago...Yeah, because basically you can't be a guy and enjoy dancing unless:

1- You are drunk and don't care/don't know what the hell you're doing..
2- You are trying to pick up a girl and you think this might be a good way...
3- You're gay...


BTW, dabke is not dancing...It is originally a form of worship for tribes in africa, just add a fire in the middle. That's why it is nice and the above statements don't apply to dabke.

Um Gilgamesh, Dabke is typically lebanese. It goes back in time to 1800 when people used to hold hands and jump on rooftops to make the mud and hay stick for the winter season. at that time rooftops needed to be fixed this way or otherwise it would leak. So the youngsters of the village would come and start jumping on the roof while others sang. and tada!!! this is how dabke was born

I think professional male dancers are gay,yes. They don't know it maybe but they will realize it eventually..

As for dabke being Lebanese, that form of dancing is found in every culture where people hold hands in a circle and go around while doin something. I don't really care where it originated,it is nice and admirable.

Back to Tawa, I don't feel gay when I dance sober because I never did. This is not a personal experience, it is just a fact.
