well the problem is that we always give excuses :

-some said the youth are corrupted w medre chu .. this isn't true and it's unacceptable coming from an FPM supporter because the whole idea of the free patriotic movements was and should always be based on youth ..
In the past ppl looked at FPM as a non-sectarian party with projects related to youth (ppl who liked to party would vote FPM and those who liked to read and attend conferences also used to vote FPM ) .. so...
- others are saying that there's laziness in the FPM .. well the question is : y isnt there any in LF or Kataeb or Hezeb Allah ... Kataeb men 2 years keno (and maybe are still) byen3addo 3al asabi3 but even though they are few every1 is working.. ( this is the responsibility of LEJNIT L TOLLAB which is doing nothing to keep the guys motivated.. events should be organised .. trainings (at least for those responsibles of the different universities so that they can send the msg better to FPMers and also to neutral ppl and ppl who have other political views....
-another excuse is that they have bigger numbers (well if thats the case y do we bother running for elections .. or if thats the case well then we should admit that we are no longer a majority ... )Plus its always the neutrals who are making the difference and whoever is gettin their votes is winning..So if we stop critisize LF (2e22ew and gangs and everything) and start focusing on how we can deliver our msg to young lebanese and young students it would be awesome...

Every time this matter is open to discussion i try to not involve, and give my opinion,
I will always know that my reply will be harsh on some people, from my own point of view some points doesn't need to be discussed in public.

As an FPM member (not a supporter) , the problem of FPM is on several levels, general political line that FPM took from 2005-2009, and not only on the internal level.

On the External Level:

1- After the 2005, and the return of GMA, we all witnessed the stereotyping that the media ( specially western media) started against GMA, even before the MOU.

2- The new Strategy of FPM which in my opinion is the wisest choice in the Lebanese modern history( the time will show the effect of this),
That some ppl didn’t understand till now the importance,
It seems the Lebanese ppl is not ready yet to start involving with the other lebanese whatever is their religion or opinion.

3- The relation with syria, lot of lebanese(FPMer/Pro FPMer/Neutral) didnt believe GMA in 1989 when he said "Syria in Syria, Lebnon in Lebanon, and we will have the best relations", lot of ppl thought that GMA was talking propaganda, they are wrong?!
Again the problem, still the lebanese society not ready for honesty in politics, they need somebody who lie for them for 20 years and then he will F*ck them and they will be happy.

4- The MOU and the changes of view toward the Arms of HA( yes change whether we admit it or not), which was a huge point for the 14 7jar ppl to base their attacks on us for the past 4 years.

On the internal Level:

1- The Narrow down of the base of FPM from "across sects/lebanese" to the Christian society which was a great tactical mistake, not only tactical but a deadly strategic fault.
as El meghwar said, when you are able to represent 90% of the Lebanese people why you stick yourself in representing 50% of the Christians which they are less than 40% of the population?!!!!

2- The failure of the upper leadership to communicate with the FPM/Pro on all levels( they were busy in getting themselves some great chairs in front of TV's) and again which is a contradiction with the basic that FPM was founded,
We used to be the hidden soldier, we freed our country from occupation and we barely showed on TV

3- Internal Elections and Chaos within the FPM, weakened FPM too much, while we still waiting the Internal elections since 3 years, the chaos is eating us, some ppl are taking advantage of this to misshape FPM to show it as all the traditional parties.

4- The unorganized recruitment that was held during 2005-2006, which the main reason not to say "the Reason" for the deterioration of FPM, this huge number of ppl that joined FPM without any investigation put FPM in a weak position,
Some ppl joined just to create problems and destroy FPM from inside.

5- the Negligence of the Youth and student committee, on this level FPM forgot that these two sectors existed in FPM,
until last year and i know very very very well that a huge progress and serious is done on this level.

6- The "One Man Show" party, we all love GMA, we all admire him, and we all confess that he is great man,
but on this level we have to be logical eventually no one is immortal,
Other people should be involved more in the Image of FPM.

7- Son of Laws, whether GMA sons in law are competent or not, this issue is a "good topic" for attack on FPM, good media stuff to show FPM and GMA corrupt as others.

8- ...etc

Lots of issue needs to be discussed but this is enough for the moment.

to be honest with you, FPM is getting weaker and weaker in universities for one reason which is " Hezbollah and its arms". Before Fpmers used to say hariri 7arame wel ouwet militia and bla bla bla. But u forgot that the new generation didnt live the war or at least were born after 1990! so a christian lebanese when they tell him the LF our party is about liberation and 7meyit el masi7iye while Look at AOUN with syrians and Hezbollah, this person doesnt even know what aoun did in 1989 or 1990, and doesnt know what Ja3ja3 was doing in War, so of course he gonna favor the LF kata2eb over Fpmers which are labeled in universities as 7oulafa el iraniye, and this is all caused by " ta2ifiye" , maybe when the MOU was announced kent ba3da mar7oume , but the war in 2006 messed it all up. it was a big hit for Fpmers. A christian student which doesnt have the cause of Hezbollah, LIVED the war in 2006, and he knows that anytime hezbollah can repeat that with Israel, a reason to go with LFers and Kataeb against Fpm. Lebanon mebne 3al ta2ifiye w 7a ydal mebne 3al ta2ifiye, what GMA is working on mfakar 7alo 3ayech bi balad like France or USA or i dont know what country that doesnt care about religion and weapons...

The problem in here is that not only other Lebanese fellows didn't understand till now the importance of FPM political moves like signing the MoU with Hezbollah, the problem is that EVEN a lot of FPMers didn't understand it!!
FPM should start working on its members before convincing other Lebanese people.

I don't agree in here, FPM view toward Hezbollah's arms came after long negotiations with a party(Hezbollah) who wasn't very well known by FPM due to the past conditions that we were living in (Israeli and Syrian occupation)
The first real meeting between FPM and HA happened after GMA's return in 2005, the two parties had a lot of wrong prejudgments toward each others, and they suceeded in reaching a MoU and a lot of commun points of agreement.

The MoU between FPM and HA is way bigger than some sick minds who cannot get convinced in the reality that we are one people not a group of tribes who sign momentary agreements between each others.
And i believe that those FPMers who keep criticizing the MoU between FPM and HA or those who got it in a wrong way(which is "the MoU with HA was signed just to protect the christians") are in the same level of those sick minds who are still not recognizing the truth that we are one people whatever was our sect.

I guess we should not stop a lot at this point, the MoU between FPM and HA was a great achievement in Lebanon's history, and those sick minds who didn't realize the real concept of the MoU doesn't deserve a single worry or concern, because those people doesn't deserve the Lebanese identity at first place.
those who doesn't believe in the reality of being a one people and still have the mentality of tribes and sects cannot be called Lebanese.
Lebanese people are only those who believe that all of us are one people not a bunch of tribes and sectarian groups.

Totally agree in here.

I don't agree in here, being GMA's son of law should not be an obstacle in front of any competent FPMer.
Jebran Bassil is one of the first FPMers who fought against occupation before being GMA's son of law, and his achievements in the ministry of telecommunication are the perfect proof.
We're not concerned in proving anything to anyone, FPM choose its ministers based on a certain criteria, and those who are attacking FPM in this point would have created another reason and attacked it whoever was the minister.
Let them attack and do whatever they want, because in the end, acts and achievements will prove the competence of X guy whatever was its familiar status.

On this Level it is a communication crisis within the FPM they couldn't deliver the message as it is supposed to be delivered i already lighted this point in my previous post

I agree, but after these long term negotiations, there was a change in the political speech of FPM and no one can deny, and it was a 180 degree change.

This matter is related to directly to the communication lack within FPM and Pro FPM.

Some people don't like the fact that Lebanese wants to unite, so they put themselves in the corner and try to protect themselves by hidden behind the sects and religions.

I am not denying Bassil or else effort within the FPM,
But the "Son of Law" issue has become a main target by the 14 7jar to attack FPM so why to keep this weakness as an open to receive bullets.
FPM is full of qualified and educated people.

I am not saying put bassil in the corner, but what i am trying to show that, it is not necessary to keep on the front raw and keep ourself in a bad shape in front of the public.

When the party is weak in a point it is necessary to strengh this particular point, protect it and not keep it fragile to attacks.

I am of the persons that ask questions according this issue, and it is my right to ask,
Why gebran bassil?!
Why Roy hachem?!

And i am very clear about it,
We fought for 20 year to achieve freedom, we fought 20 years agaisnt feudalism and familiasm, 3a rasse they are qualified, but this is not enough to give them authority in everything, with my respect to everybody.

We fought for 20 years not to reach here,

7elemna kbir w amalna akbar but hope it will be not "festo2 fade" at the end.

You are right ... but let me add one more thing is the Funding Issue ... the LFes are allocating huge funds for student elections in all universities in Lebanon ... While the FPM Fund's for universities is average ..
