Dell Laptop

Hi Guys,

i'm customizing a Dell Laptop for my work, i want to know your opinion:

Specs:

-Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
-Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Quad Core Processor @ 1.6GHz (2.8GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
-15.6” Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife™ and Camera
-8GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
-320GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
-512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
-8X Slot Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)

this system costs 1724 $

now my question is, i still have the option to upgrade to Core i7 820QM (1.73 GHZ and 3.06 in turbo mode) and 8GB DDR3 1333 MHZ


these upgrades will cost 450$, so the total will be 2174$, are they worth upgrading? or the above is fine

i will be using this system for Image Editing.

What do you think Guys?

well you can add a blu ray , hek hek ur paying over 1700$

CPU is worth, but the RAMs no, they're almost the same, you won't feel the difference

why would i need to add a blu ray??
it is an extra 150$!!!!!!!!...which makes no sense

eno 350$ is a good difference

yeah why blu-ray ? he will not buy blue ray discs (original) and i don't think he will burn data on them cuz they cost and wtf it makes no sense when u have a portable

Think for the future , it reminds me of my old pc , when i 1st got it , the dvd players were expensive and no one was using dvds , the next year or two i was enraged cz i ddnt have a dvd player in my pc and everyone was using them and all games were on dvds , So in the coming year or the one after it blu rays will be the same. and hes going to use this lap for 3 or 4 years min.

did u know that u can buy a cd/dvd/bluray drive and install it anytime in ur pc ?

its better if he buys the drive later, for sure their price will drop, why pay for somethin u will not use now while u can pay less when u will use it later
