hey all, everyone faces this dilemma when he comes toward the end of his BS or BE license, we look for a place to do masters. I am looking for a university in the UK, after a research i've found alot of stuff that i could not understand such as the module system and the Mphil, i am looking forward to do my masters in engineering management so is there anyone who is living abroad that can give me an oreview of the education there? Is the credit equal to one hour like here also?
Provide as many details as you could and i would be grateful thank you

I currently live and study in the UK (London) so I guess I could help.
First of all to study any degree/masters in the UK you must apply throught a system called "UCAS". After that UCAS will send your application to the chosen universities and then the universities will contact you. In order to find out more information about the university, courses and entry requirements, use "UCAS Course Search". After you decide which universities you want to apply to, fill in the online application and send it online. (P.S: When applying, make sure your personal statement provides full details. The first thing they do is read it!) After you apply you will start to get emails or letters by post telling you what to do next or if they accpeted/rejected your application. I think you can only apply to 5 universities. If you are planning to start your masters in september 2010 then you must apply before 22 January. Some courses may differ but for nearly 90% of them you must apply before the 22nd. As I said.. I live here if you need any help applying or more information just let me know. And if you come here I will help you get arround.. ![]() |

well, what i am gonna say is not directly related to ur request but it might be worthy for other guys around.
I did my masters degree in digital communications in germany in an english program. I didnt speak a word in german before going there. I advice u to look for such programs in germany which are related to ur field. If any one is interested in a "telecommunication" or "informatics" masters program please feel free to contact me. germany is much much better than uk in the job later and even if u was lucky 2 get a job after u finish, these guys pay nothing.

I did not do masters yet (I wish)
I am still on my first year.It costs me $25000 a year. Prices differ, but I don't think there are any courses less than $15000. Accommodation about $6000 a year. In terms of jobs, you will find a job. Especially now recession is over in the UK. At first, you might not find a job that pays well but it will change. Like any other job you apply to, the more experience you have the better you get paid. My brother will graduate on the 28th of this month, he got a job already and will start on the 15th of Feb. In this country, you will always get a good job if you have a degree. I am on my degree now and I work part time. ![]() Good luck. |
