LONDON - Israeli aircraft are making daily incursions into Lebanese air space, creating a very dangerous situation, Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said in an interview broadcast Wednesday.

"We hear a lot of Israeli threats day in and day out, and not only threats," Hariri told the BBC. "We see what's happening on the ground and in our air space and what's happening all the time during the past two months -- every day we have Israeli war planes entering Lebanese air space," he said.

"This is something that has been escalating, and this is something that is really dangerous," Hariri said in a video posted on the BBC's web site.
The BBC quoted Hariri as saying he feared the prospect of another war with Israel.

Syria accused Israel last week of pushing the Middle East toward a new war.

Israel's foreign minister responded by saying Damascus would be defeated and President Bashar al-Assad would lose power in any future conflict. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later reassured Syria that Israel sought peace.

Israel fought a 34-day war in 2006 with Lebanese Hezbollah militants. Israel said in January that U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon had uncovered hundreds of pounds of explosive devices near the Israeli border, which the Jewish state said had been planted by Hezbollah.

The BBC quoted Hariri as saying that Lebanon was united and that the government would stand by Hezbollah.

"I think they're betting that there might be some division in Lebanon, if there is a war against us," it quoted him as saying. "Well, there won't be a division in Lebanon. We will stand against Israel. We will stand with our own people."

ليبرمان يردّ على الحريري: أنت تحوّل نفسك الى رهينة

ردّ وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي "افيغدور ليبرمان" على رئيس الحكومة سعد الحريري معتبراً ان حزب الله هو الذي قتل والده رئيس الحكومة الراحل رفيق الحريري ومشيراً الى أنّه يحوّل نفسه اليوم الى رهينة وذلك وفق ما نقلت عنه القناة الإسرائيلية العاشرة.

وكان الحريري قد اعتبر في حديث الى الـ"بي بي سي" ان التوتر يزداد في المنطقة يوماً بعد يوم واتهمّ اسرائيل بارتكاب خطأ كبير بتهديدها لأمن لبنان وجارتها سوريا.

الحريري: ليبرمان يهددنّي...

حول التهديدات الإسرائيلية قالت جريدة السفير في إفتتاحيتها: "ناقش مجلس الوزراء كذلك التهديدات الاسرائيلية المتكررة للبنان، وتوقف الرئيس الحريري في هذا السياق عند الكلام الذي أطلقه ضده وزير خارجية العدو أفيغدور ليبرمان، قائلا: ليبرمان يهددني.. وهذا يشرفني.

وعلمت «السفير» انه جرى البحث في إمكان عقد جلسة خاصة لمجلس الوزراء من أجل مناقشة التهديدات الاسرائيلية المتكررة، باعتبار ان مواجهتها «تتطلب خطة عمل منظمة وعدم الاكتفاء بالإدانة وتسجيل المواقف» كما قال الوزير عدنان السيد حسين.

تجدر الاشارة الى ان ليبرمان حمل بشدة على تصريحات الحريري التي أعلن فيها عن وقوفه إلى جانب «حزب الله» في أي مواجهة مقبلة مع إسرائيل. واعتبر ليبرمان، أن «إسرائيل لن تكون كيس ملاكمة ولن تتقبل بهدوء التهجمات عليها». وقال: قلبي مع الحريري. مسكين هذا الرجل، فـ«حزب الله» قتل والده وهو الآن بات رهينة. وأنا أفترض أن رأيه في «حزب الله» يذهب أبعد كثيرا من رأينا».
