"Umaga" dead at the age of 36 ( RIP)

Edward "Eddie" Fatu (March 28, 1973 – December 4, 2009)was a Samoan-American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Umaga. He was best known for his time with World Wrestling Entertainment, where he was a two-time Intercontinental Champion.

He was a member of the Anoa'i wrestling family and frequently worked as a part of a tag team – variously named The Island Boyz, the Samoan Gangstas, and 3-Minute Warning – with his cousin Matt Anoa'i. During Fatu's first stint with WWE, he was known as Jamal and Matt was billed as Rosey. In late 2005, Fatu returned to WWE. Repackaged under the ring name "Umaga", Fatu went undefeated for many months on WWE's Raw brand throughout much of 2006, before suffering his first defeat under the Umaga name in January of 2007. Known by his many nicknames, including "The Samoan Bulldozer" and "The Samoan Savage", Fatu died on December 4, 2009, as a result of a heart attack.

Bret “Hit Man” Hart will guest host Monday Night RAW next week live from Dayton, Ohio.

The announcement was made official last night on RAW from Hartford, Connecticut, when Vince McMahon made the decree on live television. Rumors had been swirling since Dennis Miller name-dropped Hart while guest hosting The Slammys.

Less than two weeks before WrestleMania XXVI, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hosts Raw on March 15. The WWE Universe should certainly mark their calendars for the legendary Rattlesnake's return, as it is sure to turn WWE’s flagship show upside down. Though it’s uncertain what will happen when Stone Cold takes his place at the head of Raw for one night only, there's no doubt that he'll be looked at as one of Raw’s most controversial special guest hosts.

Be sure to tune in every Monday night when the biggest stars from all over the world take over as Raw’s special guest host.

Former TNA and ROH star Low-Ki, now wrestling under the name Kaval, also misses out.

Interestingly, William Regal, Chavo Guerrero and Finlay, all noted veterans and men with experiencing in training others, are not part of the show.


The exact format of the show has not been revealed, although WWE said in an official statement that it will be a "hybrid live event/reality show".


NXT will not only feature matches between the rookies, but also between rookie and pro, and indeed pro v pro contests are likely as well.


It seems no coincidence that not only have WWE selected four heels and four babyfaces as mentors, but, assuming Christian moves to Raw, there are an equal number of good and bad guys from each brand taking part in NXT.


MVP and The Miz are currently feuding on Raw over the US title, so look for Bryan and Sheffield to have issues, while underlying heat between Jericho and R-Truth on Smackdown makes it likely that their charges will likely be pitted against one another.

All will be revealed NXT week. WWE NXT will air in ECW's old timeslot.
