Default Manual Virus removal

Hi,

I think I have the Trojan described here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/po...n32%2FNubjub.A

I have the "santa" program in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and everytime I restart my computer I get the below message.

Microsoft says manual removal is not recommended and I should use an anti virus. I have used however both my Symantec, and Windows' One Care PC Scan, but both detected nothing!

Anyone can tell me how to properly remove all traces of it manually?

Thanks

Use HiJackThis to manually remove it. You can download it here.

Good Luck!

If it is really a "trojan" then try netstat and monitor the connections it tries to make for the fun of it. I can tell you how to remove it manually if you're really interested in the technique, but it's 2:30 AM now and i'm tired and busy doing other stuff. If you want this to be removed permanently and in an easy way, then get Kaspersky installed and you're done.
