People say "time cures everything" i say "money cures everything"

A friend of mine posted the above on Facebook, and I noticed that it is a good topic to discuss.

Basically long story short, do you agree or disagree?? and Why?

well most of our problems are what?
courses at uni, finding a job, getting married... if I had a million dollars, I would not lose sleep at night over if I was going to pass this course with a D or get an F, I would not be begging the board of the uni for financial aid I would not be counting how many years I still have at uni and how many years of work I need to make the money back

you could travel bas affich ma3ak (as this mutual friend said to me ) and he is right, people will ine up to kiss up to you when you are rich ... yes it makes life easier

Money is called currency n it is made to flow through u n it reveals who u truly are but it should not change YOU! Let's say that you don't have money, what would u call urself? Poor?? I know many poor ppl who are in need of money but are happier than the richest ppl on the planet. So basically long story short, I think that money is necessary in our lives (internet, food, car, clock, clothes, etc...) but it is not all my purpose in my life... So If u have the money but u are unsuccessful in ur family life n health, then u are as gd as bein' poor. Why? becuz with money u can buy medicine, entertainment, bed, companion and sex. But one thing for sure, it cannot buy u wealth, happiness, sleep, true friends and most importantly, LOVE.

So being poor can get you happiness, true friends and love ? IMO money can give you opportunities to be happy and find true love. It's up to each person to know how to catch such opportunity.

Here you are talking about success. Success does not have to do with money. You can buy women/men but u cannot buy a gd wife, it can sponsor u through university but it cannot buy u intellect. What i mean is, the things money can buy are temporal while the things money cannot buy are, most times, everlasting.

I also agree that each person should catch opportunity of getting rich/success/happy/whatever.... I would enjoy my life if I have it ALLLL. But nothing is perfect, i'd rather be in a gd wealth than being rich. I'd rather be loved and not somebody using me and faking his love to me for my position/money status/ownership, etc...

I am not rich, and yet I don't have happiness sleep true friends and love, I have friends akid you are 3a rasoun but no one I can really depend on and go out with. point is, having money or not does not alter your chances of having true friends and etc... but I would have rather cried in a ferrari as they say

second, being rich or poor is a relative thing, no one is rich or poor absolutely, you have to look at the society and at the time, 300 yeas ago, the wealthiest human was the one who had a couple of horses and a house and some land, now the less than average person in our community has a house and a car(which is better than a horse )and lights in his house so he can read at night, a computer and TV, which is far more than what a person 300 years ago would dream of

to a poor starving african, someone that has bread 3 times a day is rich, someone who eats once a day is moderate, and someone who eats once a week is poor to saad el hariri a millionnaire with one expensive car is probably moderate, we are probably dirt poor

imagine what would an average person have 50 years from now, maybe the red ferrari in 50 years will be worth 5000$

I think being rich simply means being better financialy than 90% of the people you know

edit: you probably could have more true friends if you were rich, distance would not be an issue, you could travel and afford to move around more to meet people, do some activities, register in clubs, you could eat out everyday
if you cannot afford going out on activities, you do not make much friends sitting home watching TV

mr_j, lemme ask you a question. Who are you when you have money? and who are you when you don't have money?

Do u ever wonder y GREED exists? even ur own government is greedy . When u make money one of the top priorities in life, when "she" sells her body in order to get a promotion, when u steal money, and etc.. that makes you the worst of a kind. That is a huge negative about money especially to greedy ppl.

Now imagine if u were someone who was careless about money, won't u meet more friends? u don't have to fly to another country to meet them, haven't you met Facebook and msn ? I would like to say, that more n more ppl I'm talking with says that they are satisfied with their salary n they don't need to have more at the expense of their leisure. They like their work but also their hobbies n don't need to have everything (e.g. that his neighbor has).

I don't know... I really don't care about money, never have, maybe never will. I have everything I want, my parents say I have no ambitions when I say that, but to me, a house to go back to and any car that runs are as good as any. I just hate the fact that I have to worry about money all the time, university tuition fees and my pepsi expenses but that is about it

and most people I know these days are boring, and it is all because of money, they want to keep a 3.9 GPA to save money so they do nothign but study, they study by day work by night, they go to uni in summer to graduate quickly so they can go make money sooner, wasting their youth doing nothing fun, accumulating no happy memories and sacrificing our best days for the purpose of money

I'm going to buy more pepsi now

You know what it is the problem these days. The problem is that ppl think if they studied hard, and had an awesome GPA can graduate and find their dream job with the best income. But to be honest, this is just not enough at all.

I will give my personal point of view, some of you might understand it and some else will think it is wrong. But it is my point of view:
In my opinion, The diploma is just the KEY to the door. For e.g: you go to apply for a job, you knock the door and say: "Hello, I wanna work with this company." The first question they will ask is this: "do you have a diploma?" you will say yes, and by that they will let you in for the interview in order to see what kind of a diploma you have. Then comes experience. I give the following average in the world of business (my statistics ) :

- Diploma 40% (Salary negotiation & Key to Enter that co.)
- Experience in the Field 60%: mad3uk, matbu5, maghssoul. + promotion

Now, some people do not need a diploma in order to succeed in a certain field, like programming, data entry, graphic and web design, video editing and etc... For personal experience is gained through self-education, self-learning, self-studying and UPDATE. So you work as a freelancer (creating banking software, editing chips, etc...) to earn a higher income than a programmer who works in an industry with a limited monthly income that do not increase the 2000-2500$.

We all start from ZERO, low income, low profile in order to gain, eat, swallow information, experience, knowledge and etc... And after a while (especially after u graduate), you just go out there and SHOW the best you got. For you have the experience, and you have the degree that u worked really hard days & nights.

Everything has a price in life, u lose something in order to get something.
But mostly in Lebanon, you have to work double and triple in order to help or accomplish what u need for you are not living your age. Each 18 years old kid is living his life as a 22 years old. A 22 years old is living a 28 years old life. So we are losing the taste of life due to the reason that we all need to succeed in it. And not only helping ourselves, but helping others too (family members, partners, ourselves, a group of ppl). Some work hard all the time, some others study long all the time, some do both at a time. All of that to reach one goal: Success and living to provide what is needed.

So when you take any gd opportunity and earn a lot of money, that means u are smart (educated and experienced person) and luck played a role for you have earned this opportunity. That is the time where u can say: My life has a taste".

But always remember, Money is not everything, for if it was, I would have robbed a bank
