ذكرت تقارير صحفية أن مدرب منتخب المانيا يواكيم لوف سيعين فيليب لام ظهير بايرن ميونيخ قائدا للمنتخب ليحل مكان ميكايل بالاك الذي سيغيب عن نهائيات كأس العالم لاصابة في كاحله. واضطر بالاك الى اعلان انسحابه من صفوف المانشافت بعد تعرضه لاصابة في كاحله من الألماني المولد الغاني الجنسية كيفن برينس بواتنغ في نهائي كأس انكلترا. لوف سيختار حارس شالكه مانويل نيوير الرقم الواحد بين الخشبات الثلاث بعد اعلان الحارس الأساسي رينيه آدلر انسحابه ايضا لاصابة في احد أضلاعه. وسيعلن لوف رسميا هذين القرارين خلال المؤتمر الصحافي الذي سيسبق مباراة فريقه ضد المجر غدا السبت .

Philipp Lahm skipper of German team  The 26-year old Philipp Lahm will captain the German team in South Africa. One day before a friendly match against Hungary in Budapest (Saturday, 8 P.M., live on ZDF), German coach Joachim Löw made the announcement during a press conference at the teams training camp in Eppan, Tyrol. Lahm is a defender of FC Bayern München, which had reached the Champions League final against Inter Milano recently. Phillip Lahm will be our skipper, and Bastian Schweinsteiger his standby. Both are able to take responsibility, said Löw. Lahm replaces Michael Ballack, who cannot compete at the 2010 FIFA World Cup due to an ankle injury. Neuer named goalkeeper for World Cup  German assistant coach Andreas Köpke announced today, that the 24-year old Manuel Neuer is the teams goalkeeper in South Africa. Neuer is under contract at Schalke 04, which finished in second place in the Bundesliga. Manuel Neuer received the nod, and hell guard our goal on Saturday against Hungary. It was a close call. feelin really pissed off 4 loosin ballack nd adler. bt hopin its a good chance 4 lahm 2 prove himself. he's my fav... same 4 the young new guys, kroose, ozil...nd guys plz 2 all the non-german fans, nd anti-german fans, gtf out of here, makin fun of our team??..... on our own page!!!?? :P i know we havnt got the best players, nor the best strikers of the world, nd sometimes boring games, bt when u luv a team nd watch it loose nd win.nd u know how hard it is 4 them 2 get that golden cup, u wont stop luvin them..... peace out germans

Westermann will miss the World Cup Finals  World Cup hopefuls Germany have been deal yet another blow on the injury front in the build-up toward this summer's tournament. According to a report in Bild, national team coach Joachim Loew will now be without the services of Schalke defender Heiko Westermann in South Africa after the 26-year-old picked up a foot injury. Westermann sustained the injury in the dying minutes of Germany's 3-0 international friendly win against Hungary on Saturday evening. The defender complained about pain after the game and visited the hospital on Sunday to undergo further examination. A scan has now revealed that Westermann has fractured a bone in his left foot and will be sidelined for several weeks due to the injury. The absence of Westermann is yet another blow for Loew ahead of the 2010 World Cup finals. Simon Rolfes, Rene Adler, Michael Ballack and Christian Traesch all will miss this summer's tournament due to injury, too. goal.com

ضربة جديدة للمنتخب الألماني
 تعرض المنتخب الألماني لضربة أخرى بعد تعرض مدافعه هايكو فيسترمان الذي سيغيب عن نهائيات كأس العالم 2010 التي تستضيفها جنوب أفريقيا ابتداءً من 11 حزيران/يونيو، بسبب تعرضه لكسر في قدمه حسبما أعلن الاتحاد الألماني الأحد.
وأصيب مدافع شالكه البالغ من العمر 27 عاماً قبل دقائق معدودة من انتهاء المباراة الودية التي فازت بها ألمانيا السبت على المجر 3-صفر. وانضم فيسترمان إلى لاعبي الوسط القائد ميكايل بالاك وكريستيان تراش اللذين سيغيبان عن الـ "مانشافت" بسبب الإصابة أيضاً. وكان بالاك أصيب خلال مباراة فريقه تشيلسي الإنكليزي مع بورتسموث في نهائي الكأس الإنكليزية، فيما أصيب تراش الاثنين الماضي في مباراة إعدادية للمنتخب الألماني مع فريق تيرول من الدرجة الثالثة في إيطاليا (4-صفر) في المعسكر التدريبي للنهائيات ma bye7mlo da3ik bel marra

Bad blow in theory, Westerman could help the team a lot, has experience and has the build to move fast, and even more can play in all positions in the back and can sometimes be an emergency midfielder as a defensive one. The thing though is that Germany always turns out to make up for those missed players somehow. Ballack and Adler and Westerman out should be a blessing in disguise for them.
