would you date/marry from outside your religion?

I was just wondering myself about this subject, are people generaly open to dating and marrying others from other religions? now before you jump on your horses and run off show us how open minded you are, I would like to hear some answers on specific things:
1) would you feel that your family would mind? and would you care about that?
2) how would you raise the children(on which religion)?(that is of course if you get married, or forget to use birth control anyway )
3) could you respect each other's differences, and sometimes have to celebrate holidays that you don't recognize

of course your answers to these questions have nothign to do with open mindness or discrimination or whatever, I know everyone respects all religious views and people, it's actualy more a question of preference/convenience

I want my son/daughter to be an Atheist (hopefully ) just so he/she won't get involved into these shitty craps and fights among others. In order to achieve that, he/she must know about all religions/facts

Here's the deal, since the day I started watching TV, I've seen couples getting married at Church and I liked it. With time, I attended sooooo many ceremonies (wedding ceremonies Muslims and Christians) and I actually liked the Church spiritual feeling more than the Muslim one (It is a PERSONAL opinion). And I took a decision that one day, if I had the chance to get married, I don't want it to be as Civil Marriage, I have no problem with it and I totally support it specially that my parents were together through Civil Marriage. But from my own perspective, I would really like to get married at Church with a Christian lady. That's one of the reasons why i have converted my religion.

Me being an Atheist didn't cause me any problems and i don't think getting married to a non-Christian woman would actually piss my parents off.
However, i prefer to get married to a non-religious woman for many reasons.

I won't let my children involve into any religious communities or acts as long as they are still minors, i wouldn't mind if they turn religious later on if they were convinced but certainly not brainwashed by their parents, school or environment.

3) could you respect each other's differences, and sometimes have to celebrate holidays that you don't recognize

I totally respect religious people whether close or not, i defend their rights to believe in whatever they want as long as they doesn't cause harm to anyone.

for me I think it would be a problem... in no way I can accept that my children go through the same brainwashing cycle I went through, and to find someone willing to accept that is difficult, and I don't think it is healthy for kids when their parents are each pulling them in an opposite direction.

edit: just to be clear, I wouldn't immediatly pull the plug on any potential relationship with a girl from a different religion, I'm always open to new things, it's just that I don't think it would eventualy work out

as for me I dont give a damn about religion, whether in marriage, in dating, or even in friendship

I don't have any problem in going out or dating a girl form another religion, but when it comes to marriage, it's totally another issue.. It's gonna be complicated especially when raising children, and you might have problems with the parents... It would be much easier if the couples don't care about religion, but I do care about religion...
So Yes I would date but not get married...
