whoever heard of 7 "natural" wonders before now? when they say wonder I think of pyramid or great wall of china

plus I don't know... the Iguazu falls in brazil look much cooler to me

Is it true that the 18150 L.L that MAPAS takes , gives 150 L.L for the government whil they take the 18000 ? is it true that in the contract they are responsible for maintenance BUT since 1993 theyr refusing to do it so the government do it on its expense?

Nid3amo keef ? if we really think it is in the interest of our country to have Jeitta as one of the 7 wonders, then it would show that we really want to work for our development and interest. However seeing what the Lebanese have been doing on the political scene for the past 20 years it is clear, they do not want their own interest. Fir2it 3ala Jeitta ? Most of the people who will vote now will not vote because it might help the country in tourism, etc but only because it will make them feel cool as Lebanese and I personally feel it's silly to think like that. It's not like I built the place or anything to feel any sense of pride. It just stuns me to suddenly see this enthusiasm for something under the banner of " for Lebanon's interest".

As I said if you think it will benefit lebanon I will tell you there are a zillion more ways which can improve lebanon that are being ignored by the Lebanese and have been ignored for the last 20 years ...so it's not silly when people find it ridiculous that suddenly there is this huge movement calling for Jeitta voting. It doesn't make sense and as I said it's just being done for foolish nationalistic pride like when Joseph attieh was going to win Star academy or like when people here find the silliest and most pathetic way to praise Carlos Slim or Shakira just so that they feel important and recognized in the world.

I mean nationalistic pride means absolutely nothing, you want America and Germany and France and all the "modern" countries to recognize us ? are you that desperate for their recognition ?

To make it even worse ... let's say you do get your anticipated recognition from these countries, what happens next is their citizens watch the next day on CNN some Lebanese groups engaging in sectarian military fights in Tripoli or beriut or a youtube video of widespread law violation in lebanon, etc etc, etc ...and they'll laugh at your nationalistic pride all over again.

I'm not telling you to stop voting btw because I care less... a matter of fact I might vote if I find it useful, but I'm asking you to stop talking about this matter as if it is an urgent issue and of huge significance and stop this tendency to suggest that people should be ashamed for not voting.
