Vcoderz, 6 years already!

Dear Vcoderz members & visitors,

Back in 2005 we launched Vcoderz as a community website.
Both, the website and forum covered many subjects such as politics, social, technology, sports and entertainment which turned Vcoderz into a community where people could discuss almost anything.

In 2005-2006 Vcoderz was one of very few Lebanese websites that adopted web 2.0 and its user base was providing the website content which made it boost high and became one of the most visited websites in Lebanon back then.

Vcoderz successfully built the most active Lebanese Youtube channel with around 3500 videos and 25,000,000 views.

Vcoderz played important roles in many occasions where TV stations started to rely on it for the rich data it provided. We had several interviews on many major national and international media such as: Al-akhbar (First page), AlJazeera, FutureTV and many other...

Today, Vcoderz is preparing the launch of Vcoderz 2.0 which will maintain the same idea on a bigger scale.
Vcoderz 2.0 will enlarge itself to cover international audience and not strictly Lebanese.

It makes me feel so proud that vcoderz is still alive, despite the hundreds of problems we faced, and despite the threats and all the difficulties this site encountered.

Hopefully that by next year, we'll celebrate vcoderz birthday with a larger community.

«Vcoderz»
الشهير، كان له من العمر 15 عاماً حين فرض على فضاء الشبكة العنكبوتية منتدىً بهذا التأثير. ففي عام 2005 وبينما كانت ألعاب الفيديو منتشرةً بين الأطفال، كان داني يقول لنفسه «اللعبة جميلة، ولكن كيف تعمل ووفقاً لأي نظام؟». أسئلة، بات ابن الأعوام الواحد والعشرين باكراً مرجعاً في تأمين إجاباتها، وإجابات أسئلة كثيرة غيرها ترتبط بعمله مشرفاً على خدمات المواقع الافتراضية ومهندس منتديات إلكترونية.
هكذا، ومنذ ستة أعوام، بدأت رحلة داني موسى مع المنتديات. من دون معلّم، تكبّد داني مشقّة البحث عمّا يصقل هوايته. هواية، لم يكن في بال الشاب أنها ستتحول بعد سنوات قليلة إلى عمل مربح. كانت صفحات الإنترنت دليله الوحيد إلى المعرفة. فمن خلالها، تشرّب علوم البرمجة وهندسة المواقع الإلكترونية، وأطلق منتدى «Vcoderz»
ليكون «مساحةً شاملةً لمختلف المواضيع التي تهم الشباب». بمساعدة بعض الأصدقاء، بدأ رمز الموقع ينتشر عبر رسائل إلكترونية، حتى توصّل إلى احتلال المرتبة الرقم 12 بين المواقع اللبنانية على الإنترنت عام 2006.
اللافت في تجربة داني أنه تخلّى عن دراسته الجامعية منذ فصلها الأول، فهو، كما يقول، لم يستطع تحمّل نمط التلقين في الجامعة «التطبيق أفضل بكثير». قرار مستغرب يبرّره برفض الاعتماد على مصدر معلومات واحد، وبأن «ما آخذه في الجامعة أستطيع نيل أضعافه أمام شاشة الإنترنت». تالياً، يستلزم عمل داني وطموحه العلمي مكوثاً طويلاً أمام الحاسوب. 18 ساعة حدّاً أقصى، هي وجبة داني اليومية من العمل على حاسوبه الخاص ذي الشاشات الثلاث. زمن طويل يتوزّع على أعماله المتكاثرة. فهو إضافةً إلى منتداه الأول، الذي يخصص 85% من مضمونه للترفيه والتسلية، يدير تقنياً ثلاثة مواقع من بينها موقع «النشرة» الإخباري، الأول لبنانياً بحسب الإحصاءات. داني مرتاح لمدخوله المادي، من دون أن يفصح عن حجمه. كذلك يريحه جو منزله في منطقة ديك المحدي، فالعمل الجبّار الذي يقوم به، ينطلق من غرفة مرتفعة مشرفة على جونية وحريصا وجزء من بكفيا، ما يؤمن له الهدوء اللازم لإتمام العمل. بديهياً، لا بد من أن تسأل داني عن حياته الاجتماعية: هل سرقها العمل الافتراضي منك؟ يجيب بثقة: ليس كذلك على الإطلاق. يرى حبيبته خمس ساعات يومياً «أكون أعمل خلال بعضها»، ويرتاح لوضعه في العائلة، ولعلاقاتها مع أفرادها، أما الأصدقاء، فـ«أراهم بوتيرة متقطّعة ودورية». في جعبة داني حديث كثير عن طموحه «أريد إدارة مواقع ذات أبعاد عالمية في المستقبل القريب». وحتى ذلك الحين، يبدو داني مرتاحاً لبصمته في المواقع التي يديرها، وخصوصاً في الـ
«Vcoders»
إذ «صحيح أنني من أسّس المنتدى، لكنّه أصبح قوياً الآن ويستطيع إكمال طريقه بدوني» يقول كأبٍ يبدي فرحته بطفل كبر أمام عينيه.
