الكل انتقد مانشستر يونايتد لبدايته السيئة هذا الموسم في دوري أبطال أوروبا في أول مباراتين له. فقد تعادل في المباراة الأولى خارج أرضه مع بنفيكا بنتيجة ١-١ وجاءت المفاجأة الكبرى بتعادله في ملعب الأحلام مع بازل بنتيجة ٣-٣ .

اعترف النجم البرتغالي في نادي ريال مدريد كريستيانو روالدو بان ما هو عليه يعود لتدريبات مدرب السابق الاسكتلندي اليكس فيرغسون في مانشستر يونايتد. واضاف رنالدو ان المدربين الاسكتلندي والبرتغالي خوسية مورينيو هما من اوصلاه للفوز بلقب الحذاء الذهبي. معتبراً ان مورينيو وفرغسون افضل من سيتراسان الجهاز الفني لفريقهما.

the guy's been at the same club for 25 years, that alone is an achievement worth going down the history books for. He has seen teams, players, coaches, clubs rise and go down again, some beat him and then he beat them but the most amazing thing about him is that he was always the one to beat, if he isn't first then he's definitely second, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea and now City, all challenged (and won) him but few have done it for 25 years straight. Not to forget all the stars that came and left while he was in charge and yet he was able to produce better teams, so basically if u hate or love United u can't but respect the loyalty and work ethics the guy has had in his career and what a suitable tribute the club has made to celebrate that by naming the biggest of the stands after his name, amazing honor really, it was a very touching celebration yesterday..congrats Sir
